Hearing the story, Matt said that I should free myself from the pain William brought into my life. He also said that I should enjoy being single because it will make me stronger than those who are in a relationship that depends on their partner. That time, I was awakened. He is right. I should move on.
We talked the whole day. I don’t know what’s with him but he looks familiar. So before we part ways, I asked for his full name. “I’m Matthew Xander Fontaverde”, Then he kiss me goodnight. I went home that night with a smile on my face realizing that he is my crush when I was in fourth year college.
Days have passed and I decided to go again in that coffee shop. Not intentionally to find Matt/Xander but to relax after so many paper works. There, I saw him again. I sit far away from him because I don’t want to be called a stalker of him. But few minutes later, as I browse a magazine, he joined me in the table. Then he saw our picture as wallpaper in my old phone, the one I have since college. I rushed in keeping the phone but he still saw it. “When is that picture taken? That’s me right?” he asked with curiosity. “I’m sorry; I really don’t know that it’s you from the start, only when you said your full name. That’s during your 3rd year high school. Don’t you remember? My mom asked you for a picture with me after your pageant”, I explained. “Oh! Now I do remember.”
We ate together that day. We talked much about each other’s lives. And what’s funny is he also looked for me from the day after his pageant. Unfortunately he became busy with his study. But he never said why he is looking for me. He confessed that he never imagine that I’m a good companion the time he first saw me crying. He also said that he is looking forward for more bonding together. I agreed then.
We both don’t know why we became close instantly. We’re like brothers and sisters, maybe because I’m older and I care like older sisters do. He also helped me in moving on; I did it after few months.
He never have girlfriend since we became close. I never have boyfriend, too. Two year after, we realize that there is something more than in our feelings. We love each other more than friends do. Then we confess to each other. We decided that since we are both on legal age, we should get married. On our invitation, it says “Fate brought us here!”
