Thanksgiving

"RJ! RJ and Jinnie!"

Seokjin smiled as he watched the four little boys run over to the fence, where RJ was waiting, sitting patiently on his leash.

"Hey, Seokjin!" Namjoon called, and Seokjin's heart fluttered. He raised his hand and waved.

"Can't pet!" Hoseok wailed, trying to shove his hand through the fence to pet the dog but had to settle for brushing his hand across the fur that was pressed against the chainlink fence instead.

"Jiminie can!" Jimin smirked, his tiny hand able to fit through the diamond shape and he petted RJ smugly.

"Jinnie come play?" Yoongi tilted his head.

Seokjin shook his head. "Sorry boys, but Jinnie is just stopping by today."

Namjoon came over, holding Jungkook once again. He smiled warmly. "It's nice to see you again, Seokjin. How are you?"

"I'm good, I'm just about to go shopping for Thanksgiving dinner after this." Seokjin explained.

Namjoon nodded. "It'll be really busy, since Thanksgiving is tomorrow."

"Yeah, my own fault. I haven't had time to go sooner." Seokjin sighed. "Work has been giving me overtime all week. Today was the first day I got off before nine."

"Jinnie come in!" Taehyung pouted, reaching through the fence and tugging on Seokjin's pants. "Play with TaeTae!"

"Hey, hey, come on, we don't pull on pants like that." Namjoon grabbed Taehyung with one hand and scooted him back a few inches.

He straightened up and Jungkook immediately held his arms out for Seokjin.

It took every ounce of willpower to not grab the baby, but Seokjin really had to get going. "I'm sorry Gukie, but Jinnie has to leave." He sighed. "The store closes in less than an hour, so I better head out."

"Jinnie leaving already?" Jimin pouted.

"I understand. It was still nice to see you, even for just a few minutes." Namjoon smiled and Seokjin's heart pounded in his chest. "Have a good holiday."

"You guys too, you're a wonderful family." Seokjin said, his smile dropping.

Namjoon noticed. "Is everything alright?"

"Huh? Yeah, yeah of course." Seokjin waved his hand. "It's just that my family got snowed in so they can't fly out here for tomorrow."

"You'll be alone on Thanksgiving?" Namjoon frowned.

"Yeah, well no, I'll always have RJ." Seokjin smiled down at his dog who was loving all the attention once again.

"Oh, Jin, I'm so sorry." Namjoon said.

Jimin jumped up. "Jiminie know! Jinnie have holiday with us!"

Seokjin blushed as all the kids got into the idea and agreed, shouting and jumping around.

Namjoon smiled at them. "My kindhearted boys." He looked to Seokjin. "Well, you're invited. But I have to warn you, we don't have a lot of room or a lot of food to offer you."

"That's fine! You could all come over to my place, if that would work better. I have enough space and I can buy all the food tonight." Seokjin started mentally planning.

Pumpkin pie, mashed potato's, buttered rolls, the turkey, of course...condoms just in case?

"That's a lot to ask of you!" Namjoon said. "We couldn't possibly impose like that!"

"Oh, it'll be no trouble at all! I already started making some dishes before I heard that my family wouldn't be able to make it, so I have too much food already." Seokjin explained. "You would be doing me a favor if you could come over and help me eat it all."
