Seokjin hummed as he parked his car in the lot the next day.

He was trying to keep himself in a good mood today, as he knew this was the day Jungkook would be adopted and there was nothing he or Namjoon could do to stop it.

He slid his keys out of the ignition and climbed out of the car, thinking about what to say to comfort Namjoon when he got inside. He was hurting too, but Namjoon was hurting more.

He pulled out his phone and was surprised to see he had eight missed calls from Namjoon that he had missed while he had been driving.

As he stared at his screen, Namjoon called him again.

Seokjin answered, hurrying across the parking lot to the building. "Hello?"

"Jin? Oh thank God." Namjoon sounded like he had been crying and Seokjin's heart clenched.

"What's wrong? Why did you call me so many times? Are the boys okay?" Seokjin frantically yanked the door to the orphanage open and ran down the hallway.

"Are you here yet?" Namjoon asked.

"I'll be in the room in ten seconds." Seokjin promised, his heart racing.

"I'll explain then." Namjoon hung up, doing nothing to ease Seokjin's fears.

He burst into the classroom a moment later and froze when he saw Namjoon, Mrs. Park and several police officers standing together.

"What's going on?" He demanded, walking over to them.

He looked around, but the babies weren't in the room. He assumed they were still in their bedroom.

Namjoon's eyes were red, tear tracks on his cheeks. He looked broken.

Seokjin hurried to his side, wiping his wet cheeks. "Namjoon! What's wrong? Where are the boys? Where's my baby Jungie?"

Namjoon opened his mouth to explain, but a shuddering cry cut him off. He buried his head in Seokjin's neck, the older man holding him close.

Seokjin was stunned, he had never seen Namjoon emotional before. Only something truly awful could make him react this way, and a sick, terrible feeling settled in his gut. "Where are my boys?" He demanded.

"Mr. Kim," Mrs. Park said hesitantly. "Something happened last night."

An officer stepped forward. "Hello, Mr. Kim. I'm Officer Hyul from the Seoul police department. If you'll take a seat here I will explain what happened last night."

"Where are my boys?" Seokjin asked again, blinking uncomprehendingly as he held Namjoon for support. Which was imbalacing, as Namjoon was holding onto Seokjin for support.

"Please, take a seat." Officer Hyul insisted.

"Tell me now!" Seokjin cried. He looked around the room desperately. "Hobi! TaeTae! Jiminie! My little Yoongichi!" He called, straining to hear the sound of little footsteps running down the hallway.
