A little girl

I was walking around exploring while Ssundee fished for our supper and some just in case food. I heard the softest whisper of
"Hush Cosmo it's ok they won't find us".
There was a faint whimper like that of a dog. I crept over to the cave nearby. There was a sudden intake of breath.
"Hey it's alright"
The little girl stared at me with wide glossy eyes. She held a small brown dog with perked up ears. It padded over to me.
"Cosmo no!"
The dog came to me and sniffed my hand before nuzzling my hand.
"My names Ian"
"Mines Hanna..."
"That's nice"
She looked down and clapped her hands. The dog trotted over to her. She crawled out of the cave to me and looked up.
"Where are your parents"
"They left me"
She couldn't have been older than five.
"You poor thing; how about me and Ssundee take care of you until we find you another home?"
She nods smiling. I scooped her up and walked back towards the river where Ssundee had about seven fish over the course of half an hour. Pretty good if I do say so.
"Ssundee we have two more mouths to feed"
The boy looked up at me and Hanna looked at him. The dog sniffed him happily.
That night me and Sundee slept on the floor so Hanna could get the bed until we made another. I barely slept but Ssundee who had his head in my chest slept peacefully. He was probably tired. When I did fall asleep I had nightmares. I dreamt of what happened to me in the laboratory.
~~~Flashback~~~
I whimpered as the lights kicked off. It was a normal night so I'd be with Sub. Except I heard sub screaming wailing for them to let go. If sub was screaming something bad was happened. I crawled behind my bed in the tiny cramped space. Three official looking men tromped into the room with heavy artillery. They searched my room over turning everything. My beloved hamster ran around in his little ball frantically until he got stuck under the bed. They left and their flashlights which had lit the room bobbed down the hallway. I knew my face was pallid. I had goosebumps on my arms. I freed chubby, the hamster, and crawled into my bed holding him close.
"It'll be ok sub will be fine"
I stroked chubby's little head gently. He looked at me and I nodded. He seemed to understand and we fell asleep. The next morning I woke up to nothing. No sound no nothing. Just deadly quiet.
"Anyone?!?"
There wasn't an answer and chubby crawled up into my collar and hid in the warmth. I looked at my hospital gown as I walked around. I found other clothes in a scientist's room and changed into them. They were black except for the dark blue shirt.
I slid my new shades on and explored more with a flashlight I'd found. Some of the things I found were horrible. Someone had been dissecting a brain another a whole human! I had always had an eerie feeling that this place was wrong. Now I know for sure. I hated this place and I need to leave. I tried to explain my predicament. But ended up in an asylum left to rot.
