Facing disapproval

I sighed and stepped into the cold university. Kyle was with me a soft smile on his lips. I look around. I was truthfully extremely worried. I was already picked on for being gay as was Ethan and sub. I didn't want to drag Kyle into this too. He'd told me it was alright because he loved me. Kyle normally got beaten in the locker rooms for gym stuff. He'd gotten a scholarship for basketball. Sub was good at piano even when he'd been blind. No one thought he had been until worksheets came along and he'd have Ethan read then to him and sub would write in line as best he could. He played piano by ear. He still doesn't use sheet music.
Sub was picked on as a music nerd. Ethan got thrown around for being a math whiz but his mom had taught him a lot already. Ethan just needed a degree. You might be wondering what me and Kyle's disabilities are. Well I can't see out of one eye unable to hear from the ear on the same size. My brain is messed up a bit so yeah. Kyle has horrible dyslexia. He can't read very quickly. He's not all that smart and scatter brained. He's easily frustrated, so in school he played basketball to get away and hide from his hurtling down grades. His school let him play even when he got d's in math. He never got an F for he tried his best in all classes.
Ethan had been homeschool as had sub.
"Hey guys"
I looked up to see sub, Ethan standing next to him. I smiled and waved as Kyle greeted sub back. We walked to our first class. Our college works like a middle school in a way. There's hours and core classes plus two classes that apply to your talent. Ethan's were sculpting and painting. Kyle had physical training and basketball practice. I had English and art class, a well rounded version of all art courses. Sub was piano and surprisingly choir which was less difficult now that he could see.
Our group disperses to their classes. I went to advanced English, Kyle went to physical training, Ethan went to painting and Sub went to choir. I ended up having to write a love story. He said gay love stories where allowed and most of the class groaned but I was excited! I could write about a prince in a castle being saved by a female knight who turns out to be male.
