"so where would you want to go?"
it was the universal question
of the looking-forward seniors,
reacting with wide eyes and wonder...
just what would the future hold.i told people that i would be at the city,
where the air is not as clean
but the nights aren't usually dark,
and the streets were always noisy,
as numerous people are walking busy.you were silent for a while
it is as if you are thinking of the words
that can make or break my day...
everyone cheered for me as you stood,
contemplating as i wonder."first off, you would have to be careful,
phones on your bag and be observant."
i looked at you in surprise as you continue,
"i know you're dangerously clumsy."
you joked with a smile.so i playfully hit your shoulder,
you winced and pretended to be hurt.
i looked at you while feigning annoyance:
"wow, thanks for the advice."
i hope i didn't sound bitter.because in a year or two from now,
are we still on each other's books...
even as friends or just plain strangers?
but all i know from the uncertainty of future is,
"god, i would really...really miss you."
