THE SUN SHIFTED behind the clouds as alice cullen walked into her family home. she was carrying her purse, skipping up the stairs to find her family together in the living room, gathered aroun the television watching emmett play some game on a gaming system.
she greeted the family, walking towards the couch, but instead of sitting, she dropped her purse. the pixie-like girl stopped in place, a vision filling her mind. edwards eyes flashed to hers as he watched the vision with anxiety in his chest.
the vision ended, and alice squealed with a smile. the family sighed in relief as she showed signs of the vision being joyful. edward smirked at his brother jasper from across the couch.
"what is it, alice?" esme asked, her eyes full of concern.
"so, it looks like jaspers mate is on the way!" alice squealed once again, rushing towards her adoptive brother. an eyebrow raised in question, he looked towards her, hoping for a more in depth explanation.
"SICK!" emmett shouted, winning mario kart and turning around to clap jasper on the shoulder. multiple pairs of bronze eyes rolled around the room.
"what does she look like, alice?" rosalie spoke up, looking up from a magazine that had piqued her interest on the coffee table of the living room. she was wondering if her brothers mate would be impossibly prettier than her.
"oh, the cutest ever! well, aside from hsr fashion sense. that could definitely use some help. but, she has straight brown hair, gorgeous blue eyes, the cutest little button nose, and pretty lips! from my visions she seems like a total sweetheart and her smile is gorgeous! the day we see her she'll be wearing a gray turtleneck sweater, black jeans, and some black, small heeled ankle boots. a little boring for my taste, though." the vampire sighed, a slim hand flicking in distaste.
"could you stop insulting the girl who isn't even here yet?" edward sighed, shaking his head at his sister.
"she sounds lovely." carlisle commented, a soft smile on his face. he was excited that his son would find the one he'd been looking for.
esme smiled as well, resting her head on her husband's shoulder. the whole family was internally excited about meeting the girl, and jasper could feel the buzz throughout the room.
"looks like this girl and rose will be very great friends." alice had a smug smile on her face.
"well, sounds like she's human. she can't possibly be my mate, right? we can't let her in on the secret." jasper argued, not feeling the idea of a human mate. he was barely adjusted to this vegetarianism as it was, now he had to find a will to control himself even more?
"well obviously if she's your mate she'll keep it a secret. we're not as discreet once you know that there is a secret." rosalie answered the question directed at alice, trying to be reasonable.
"i can't go near her. it's too dangerous." jasper sighed, head in his hands. he knew they were meant to be together but how could he? he didn't want to lose control on her.
"oh, we'll see about that." alice left it with a smile.
