I walked out of the theater. Alec seemed very angry I didn't know what to do to fix that so leaving seemed like the best option at the moment. I decided to ask a little more.
I passed the room where the corpse was. Noticing The Detective still working.
"Got anything yet?" she asked me.
"Uh No not much yet" I looked down
"Well get to work. This won't solve itself and it won't change anything. Stop wandering" She growled
"Ok god..."I walked upstairs.
I walked into the kitchen the chef was angrily chopping carrots I could tell he was mad about the loss I still had to ask though "Uh...Do you think you did it?"
"No" He pointed the knife "NOW OUT"
I squeaked and walked away.
The maid looked up "Why do this to people? stop trying no one did it. Maybe it was a stranger or himself."
"He was fine last night" I replied.
"Yeah, things happen dumbo. What do you expect?" The Maid crossed their arms.
"I-Point made...but...how do we know?"
"Search the rooms. Maybe that's where you'll find clues I don't know..." they shrugged after giving out the idea.
"Fair" I pointed out "Well Let's see maybe you're right" I walked off and went to search some of the rooms.
I went inside the first room I saw and noticed a figure.
"Oh shoot uh sorry to intrude."
The figure sat up and it turned out to be Dio "Hm? Oh didn't hear ya back there um it's ok. Are you here to ask questions or just stick around?"
"I-I well I was looking for T-Timber sorry I thought he'd be in here" I attempted to lie
Dio looked at me
"Sure thing bud! It's alright." Dio smiled back at me and I backed out of the room.
Plan to look around failed and questioning failed that as well. Great start to investigate! Not...
"I hear you creeping up to me..." Timber said without looking up from his book he was writing in.
I jumped and yelped "Oh uh, Timber you Scared me. Jeez" I'm really jumpy right now
" I wasn't the first to either." Timber said. I shifted
"How'd you know that Tim?" How would he know?
"I...heard you when I passed by." He did a swirl with his Quill and made a dot.
"Oh whoops..." I looked down
"You should Question people better...honestly you ask one or two than leave when you should really just keep asking until things seem clear no matter how much they ask you to leave. You continue to ask." Timber spoke without letting me respond.
"Is that why you were talking to Alec? To question him?" I started to do what was needed.
"You could say that I guess...I forgot you heard a portion of Alec and I's..." He looked up at me and sighed. "Argument... but yeah I guess that's what I was doing."
"You guess?" I questioned.
"I guess that's how you'd say it. Do you want me to say it another way?" he was writing again. He rarely looked up at me after this.
"I-No that way was fine...Last question...Did you do it? You seemed to hate Elliot...a bit...you seem like a likely suspect." I tried to make myself seem serious.
"I wouldn't have done it ok? You just caught me at the wrong time. Elliot still dislikes me for the stuff about this place...god I hate that we're stuck here...Elliot was mad and I might seem to possibly hurt him. But I'd never hurt him. Elliot was still my friend and almost like my brother." Timber admitted.
"Alright...that seems like enough...You talked to Alec, does he seem innocent or like a suspect?"
"You're asking the wrong person at the wrong time...letting you know that now. I don't know him that well I mean I know him but ever since I was thrown out...things seem" he paused for a moment and sighed "Things seemed to have changed him for the worse...Elliot's dead well known but when he wasn't Alec was one of the people we were good friends. All of us were. But Elliot Loved someone and crossed the line too hard and a bad thing happened...he kicked out Alec...I was kicked out later that week." Timber admitted what he knew.
How would someone understand this? Was he a suspect or not? I...how can I tell?
"...You're thinking about all of this... it's a lot to take in...it's a lot to deal with...even if you didn't know him...You need to try and be safe but also don't trust all those accompanied around you. Not everyone is innocent no matter if they lie, keep tabs, it'll make things easier to keep track of." Timber said in a soft tone and let me leave.
I decided to go back to Dio's room and check on and question him. I think I need to try more on this like, Timber basically said Take it easy but don't be afraid to keep track of things as well. I went inside of Dio's room again.
"Still lookin' round,?" Dio asked me.
"Nope, now I gotta question you."
"Seems fair ok go ahead ask! All you want!"
"How long did you know Elliot?"
"Three-ish years I guess? I don't keep track of all that usually."
"Alright. Why did he invite you? Did you have a special reason?"
"Uh, he invited me cause I'm a friend and he was in need he lost someone from what I noticed and this was his way of crying out. Even if that meant him being the same old narcissistic son of a-" I cleared my throat and he stopped.
"Sorry...right... I meant he needed help and used the only way he could." Dio shrugged and looked at me.
"That's all?" I sighed and shook my head no I needed one more thing
"Do you know anything about Alec?"
"About Alec? Uh.. not really Elliot only talked about him once and I only just met him yesterday so nothing about you with that."
"What did Elliot say when you talked about him?" I asked. "His sibling was nice."
