Caius's POV
I was mad at my daughter for meeting with that vile creature.

but after what she told me in the office I didn't want to heightened her anger.

Then she clasped her hands on her stomach and curled to a ball.

I swiftly picked her up and at vampire speed I made it to my office, I sat her on the sofa, and went to grab some painkillers, I studied up and part of entering womanhood, PMS, and Cramps.

I sighed It broke my undead heart that she was suffering.

I poured the water into the cup and carried it over to her, she was really in pain. "Dadd" she moans, I wanted to take away her pain.

"Drink this" I said giving her the pills, she gulped it down.

"It'll take a few minutes or an hour that's about max when it'll activate" I said, she threw her head into the pillows, then I remembered the chocolates Heidi gave me, "This should help" I said, I was lost, I didn't know how to help her, I felt really useless.

I am King Caius and I couldn't prevent the pain she was feeling.

After she bit the chocolate her face enlightened, "I feel slightly better" she says, I smiled, "I'm glad you feel better" I brushed her cheeks and gave a kiss on her forehead, I didn't want to leave my daughter if she was going to be in pain again.

"I have matters to attend to, get me if something urgent happens" I said.

before getting up from the spot I was seating, I looked to her if she was in pain but she seemed fine, so I sighed in relief I softly closed the door and walked down the corridors.

I didn't want to see Maria but it was part of my job.

I went into the dungeons, she was sitting in the way back.

I walked to her and stood on the opposite side of the cell.

"How's your daughter" she softly asked, I tsked, "She's fine" I said, I didn't need her to know about my daughter.

"You're daughter is really feisty" Maria says, I looked at her with no emotion, "How so" I said flatly, "she really takes after you" she continues, "I had asked how so" I coldly said keeping my tone balanced.

"She demands at the guard" she responds, I nodded curtly, my daughter was abusing her authority again. "Yes, that's how she should act" I replied.

"King Caius, I'm sorry, after centuries I still feel guilty" she begins to say, "And hell you should be" I tsked, "What happened to the Caius I knew back then? I don't see any sparkle in your eyes" she continues, if I was human my eyes would have become watery, she had killed that part of me, when she betrayed me. I cleared my throat, "That person, is dead" I responded.

I glared at her.

I opened my door, and found my daughter snoozing on the sofa, I smiled.

I went over to her and kissed her on the head, I went to my desk and sat down, I went over the finalization of Maria.

Maria's POV
The dungeon doors opened again, I smelled Caius.

I inhaled and stayed in the dark corner of the cell, I felt every part of body yearning for him, his comfort, I grabbed hold of the necklace I in my pocket, I was reminiscing on the way he looked at me, and the love in his eyes, but when I looked at the Caius now, I barely recognized me, heck he looked like a imposter, he had no emotions to him, he had only expressed such a tender emotion towards his daughter, How his daughter is lucky to have him as a father. "How's your daughter" I asked still staying in the dark.

"She's fine" he said with a sharp tone, "You're daughter is really feisty" I said, but he remained emotionless and snapped.

"How so" he harshly asked, I sighed I don't remember falling in love with this guy. I didn't understand why he had wanted to see me, but till I stepped into the light to look closer at him, "What happened to the old Caius, the Caius that had sparkles in his eyes" I pleaded with my eyes.

"That person is dead" he simply said, it made my undead heart sink, I really couldn't get him back.

then after a few exchanged of words, I saw the old Caius in him, he softly responded, "It was all wrong timing" I was in disbelief then the spark in his eyes was gone.

and he was a empty void now, I sighed, I had really hurt him to lose that part of him.

then he had told me when I was going to be executed.

3 weeks, that's enough time to get his daughter to sympathise with me, and that he was gone.
