Caius's POV
"What did you say to my daughter" I glared at Maria.
"I didn't say anything. She was the one who came to me" Maria defended herself.
"You know damn straight that she is a curious child, I won't ask again" I seethed.
"I told her that she isn't like you" Maria replied.
"Isn't like me?" I repeated.
"Yes, she is her own person, she doesn't like to be dictated " Maria explains.
"Stop acting as if you know my daughter better than I do" I snarled.
"She is 13 years old. When are you going to tell her about me?" Maria asks.
"Why should I tell her about you? You are nothing significant to her" I lashed.
"Then does she know that Athenodora is my best friend?" Maria looked at me in the eyes.
I stepped back.
"If you tell my daughter any of that I'll move your execution date" I glared.
I turned my back away from Maria.
"It doesn't matter if I tell her now or later. Because I'll be killed so if she asks me again, I will be truthful" Maria says.
I looked to the side.
"Then I'll kill you right now. At my own hands" I turned to face her.
"But what fun would that be?" I smirked.
her eyes were widened.
"Then she should know her father is nothing but a murderer"
"Say that again."I seethed.
but she gulped.
"Thought so" I turned and slammed the dungeon doors shut.
I'll have to step up the security.. I went back to my chamber.
I sighed.
I got up and walked to my daughter's chamber.
I stood outside the door, then I knocked.
But no response, she is asleep obviously.
I opened the door quietly I walked over to her bedside.
I brushed her hair behind her ears.
"You have a cruel and murderous person as your father" I inaudibly said.
"Am I so selfish that I don't want you to grow up? I wish I was by your side the moment you came into this world" I began to say.
"I never got to hold you" I continued.
"now look at you now, you've grown up" I planted a kiss on her forehead.
I gently closed the door. "Master Caius'' Afton says.
"What is it?" I said.
"Someone has requested an appointment with you" Afton says.
"Who is it?"
"It's Benjamin from the Egyptian Coven"
"Benjamin?!"
"He wants to have your daughter hand in marriage" Afton explains.
My eyes constricted.
"To hell he will not!" I furiously threw a vase pot on the ground shattering it into pieces.
