I moved out of the doorway to allow Ondreaz to walk in. As soon as he was fully in the room and I had closed the door, he quickly grabbed me and pulled me into a bone-crushing hug. I wrapped my arms around him too, but just barely croaked out, "Hey...... Ondreaz........ can't........ breathe." He quickly removed his hands from around me and placed his hand on my shoulder, "Sorry Tony, my bad."
We both smiled happily because we were finally able to be together after such a long time. I lead him into the kitchen and we sat down at the table together. Ondreaz reaches into a backpack that I didn't even know he had brought with him and pulled out a packet of papers. He set them in front of me and said in a bored tone, "You need fill out this packet to make sure the people at the school can allow you to dance there." I nodded my head and walked over to a drawer in the kitchen that was filled with random things like pens, batteries, tape, and glue.
I pulled out a pen and walked back over to Ondreaz so I could fill out the packet. As soon as I read the first thing I said I sighed deeply. "They better not be going around calling me 'Antonio' if I put my full name down." My voice sounding slightly annoyed and defeated as I filled out the part of the packet with my full name, earning me a snicker from Ondreaz.
While I was filling out the packet, Ondreaz brought up a topic that I was dreading to talk about, "So, Tony, are you excited to start school next week!" I gave him a narrow-eyed glare before saying, "I'm just peachy. Super excited to go to a new form of hell- oh sorry, I mean school." Ondreaz looked at me with an odd expression in his face before he shook it off saying, "Okay..... well, when do you start?" I sighed deeply before replying, "Next Wednesday. So I only have six more days of peace."
Ondreaz gave me a look of sympathy before saying softly, "Listen Tony, I'm sure you'll be fine there. All you have to do is pass this year and then we can go on being dancers, just like we've always dreamed." I smiled brightly at what he said before saying quickly, "Do you think I should try out for football?"
He looked at me for a few minutes before finally replying, "Yeah. I think it'll be good for you. Just don't get involved with the wrong crowd." His voice grew darker at his last statement which sent a chill through my spine. I nodded my head before turning my attention back to the packet to continue writing in it.
After a while of writing I asked Ondreaz, "So when will I start my first class with you?" He said calmly, "Our new instructor told us that you'll be starting next Monday, giving you a little time to get ready." I nodded my head and sent him a small smile just as I was finishing the packet up.
Ondreaz and I talked a little more before he was getting ready to leave. I was pretty upset, a small frown embedded onto my face. Right before he was about to leave he pulled me into a tight hug, and I quickly wrapped my arms around his muscular torso.
As he was pulling away, I noticed a beautiful gold ring in his finger, and sitting right in the middle of it was a gorgeous green gem. "Woah, that's an awesome ring Dre, where did you get it?" He looked at me with wide, round eyes before stuttering out, "I-It's a, u-um, family h-h-heirloom, yeah." I looked at him skeptically before I just let it go, "Well, okay then, bye big bro." His shoulders visibly relaxed before he walked out the door smiling and waving goodbye to me one more time.
Weird. What could he possibly be hiding from me.
