My eyes gently fluttered open, and I noticed that I had fallen asleep on the couch in Tony's living room. It was actually really weird. I haven't fallen asleep somewhere as comfortable as this in ages. After I had been laying there for a few minutes, I suddenly got a super giddy feeling in my stomach. It felt as though butterflies were swarming around inside me, leaving me as a fluttering mess as it tickled my insides.

Then I remembered: I was going to leave the apartment for the first time in the last ten years. I was so excited that I almost started jumping around and cheering from the feeling of pure bliss, but then I remembered that Tony was still asleep, and I didn't want to wake him up.

I had decided that I was just going to watch T.V. until Tony woke up and we were able to go. I guess it's pretty sad how excited I was getting from being able to go to the store. Pathetic even. But I am not pathetic. I refuse to be known as the pathetic demon when I could easily kill anybody who dared to oppose me. Except for Tony. Something about him was different, and he radiated something I couldn't exactly pinpoint myself. He was just different.

I hadn't even realized that I was sitting there for so long, being lost in my thoughts, until I heard the gentle tap of someone walking on the hardwood floor of the hallway. Assuming it was Tony, I relaxed into the couch and was eventually greeted with him peeking his head into the living room. He smiled softly and I couldn't help but notice his features. His brown curls laid messily on top of his head, most likely because he had just woken up. His soft brown eyes were illuminated from the sunlight shining into the window, revealing the gentle flecks of gold in them that I would've missed if I wasn't staring intently at him.

He spoke softly, his voice still slightly raspy from just waking up, "Hey Tayler. Do you want some breakfast before we get ready to go?" That's one of the things I love most about Tony, he's super caring and didn't deserve anything that happened to him over the last two years. I nodded my head yes and got up off of the couch, making my way over to the kitchen with Tony walking slightly in front of me.

I still felt the giddiness in my stomach as I sat there, silently waiting for Tony to finish breakfast. All of a sudden, he asked me, "H-H-Hey, Tayler?" "Yeah?" I replied softly, urging him to continue while trying not to startle the fragile boy in any way possible. "Is it okay for you to go out in public with your eyes? I don't want anybody to think of you weirdly or be mean." God, this kid is going to be the death of me. "It's okay Tony, I should be fine. Remember what I said? There's a lot of supernatural creatures living in LA. It'll be fine." He nodded his head and turned his attention back to whatever he was cooking.

A few minutes later he gently walked over to me while carrying two plates in his arms. As he set them down I could practically feel my mouth watering at the sight of the steaming eggs and bacon in front of me, "Sorry I couldn't do anything better, that's why we're going to the store." He looked down sheepishly, obviously unaware of how good of a cook he actually was. "Tony, it is so nice of you to even think about doing something for me. You are an amazing cook and don't let anybody tell you any different. Now, can I ask you a question?" He nodded his head sheepishly, his gazed fixed onto the plate in front of me as his cheeks flushed red.

"Did your ex tell you that your cooking wasn't good enough? Is that why you ask to cook for me every day and always have a nervous expression on your face until I eat it and tell you it's amazing?"

He froze in his place. He eventually looked up to meet my concerned gaze before he nodded his head sheepishly, his gaze fixed back onto the plate as he ate his food slowly. I nodded my head slowly before saying, "Well, anybody who thinks that my Tony isn't good enough must be mental. You are amazing and I'll make sure that you never end up in a toxic relationship again." He looked up at me, eyes wide and cheeks pink as he gave me a dumbfound expression. "There's no way you care about me that much." He said almost breathlessly. I smirked and looked at him before saying, "Well, I guess that's something you'll have to find out yourself."

His cheeks flushed and even deeper red before he quickly ate all of his breakfast and rushed to put his dish in the sink. He scrambled through the kitchen before mumbling out loudly, "I'm just gonna go get ready. Bye!" And then he sprinted off out of the kitchen, leaving me sitting there very amused. I don't know why I was amused though, I mean, I'm straight. Just because I have a gay 'roommate' if you will, doesn't mean that I want to be with him.

I sat up and placed my dish in the sink. I then turned away and snapped my fingers, which changed my outfit into a new, fresh one for the day. Tony then came back about five minutes later wearing black ripped jeans and a colorful button-up shirt, along with his usual chains and the earring he always wears.
(I'll either put the video or a picture of him that I used as reference for this outfit at the very top of this chapter so check up there if you need to).

He came up to me, smiling brightly while saying, "You ready to go Tayler?" Then everything that was about to happen hit me like a bus. I was about to leave. For the first time in ten years. No way. I was filled with a mix of nerves and excitement as I nodded my head and smiled just as bright as he did and then we were on our way. Tony grabbed his wallet from inside his bedroom and then we made our way to the door. He opened it and stepped out like it was nothing, but for me, it was the most important thing in my life.

I stopped right before I stepped out of the door. I held my hand out towards Tony, and hopefully he's able to get the message that I need to hold his had. He almost instantly reaches his hand out and grabs mine. I take one last look at the apartment that I had been trapped in for the last ten years, and without another second thought, I stepped outside, a bright smile on my face and a newfound hope for the future. "So," Tony began, "How do you feel now that you're out?"

"Free."
