Chapter 3

Shuichi hears the concerned voices of Kaito and Kokichi from inside his room, "He hasn't eaten since yesterday!" Yells the worried Kokichi, "I know!" Kaito responds back. Shuichi ignores them and heads to the bathroom, locks the door and grabs the blade.
4 cut for making them worried
3 cuts for crying
1 cut for wanting food
Shuichi puts the bandages on and walks out of the bathroom to find Kaito and Kokichi sitting on the bed, "Why'd you lock the door you've never done that before." Kaito asked in a serious but concerned tone. "Huh I uh didn't want anyone w-walling in..!" Shuichi stuttered, "Ok..." Kaito said not believing him one bit. Kaito then grabs a plate of food from behind him, "Please eat!" He said desperately trying to give the food to Shuichi. "Fine." Shuichi says not wanting to have food shoved it his face anymore. Shuichi eats every single last bite of the food it was soft pancakes with whipped cream and blueberries on the top, "You where hungry Shuichi!" Kokichi said sounding a lot better now that Shuichi ate. "T-thank you Momota and Oma..!" Shuichi said shyly, "For the last time call me Kaito!" "Yea and you should call me Kokichi!" Shuichi looked embarrassed, "O-ok thank you Kaito and Kokichi..!" Kaito smiled. "There ya go! Anyway let's go somewhere! How bout the movies?"Kokichi and Shuichi bith smiled "Yes!" They both said. One there way to the movies they walked past the mall and many grocery stores then finally they got there, "Yay!" Yelled Kokichi as he ran up to the counter getting ready to order popcorn. "Hey Shuichi I'll go pay for the popcorn you go get the straws and napkins ok?" Shuichi nodded in response to Kaito's question. As soon as Shuichi turn around he saw Kaede with that other guy. Shuichi froze in place again tear rolling down his face. He couldn't get over her no matter how hard he tried.  Without thinking he ran out the glass doors of the theater. As soon as Katio and Kokichi turn around they noticed Shuichi wasn't there. Kaito dropped the popcorn and ran out the door while Kokichi was standing there shocked on what was going on. Shuichi was lost. He took so many twists and turns he had no idea where he was. Worst of all his phone is in Kaito's jacket which he put there right before they left. It was freezing in was getting dark since they booked a late night show. Shuichi who was shaking like a leaf cured up under a tree, and if this day couldn't get any worse it started to snow really hard Shuichi has been gone for 3 hours in the cold. Shuichi's eyes started to darken around the edges and then he fell asleep. "We gotta call the police Kaito screamed as he ran into their house which Kokichi found his way back to. "So you didn't find him.." Kokichi said through sobs. "N-no" Kaito said crying too. The police were called by Kaito and they were looking for him all night with no luck. The next morning they all got bundled up in snow gear and started searching again, "What if we don't find him..?" Kokichi said crying thought his scarf. "We will I promise!" Kaito said smiling with tears in his eyes. They where searching all day and the sun was setting with more snow falling. Kaito and Kokichi come across a forest and It was pitch black in there. Kokichi was shaking aside Kaito grabed his hand and they walked in together. The flashlight on their phones provided enough light to see 3 feet in front of them. Kokichi triped over something in the dark, "Owie!" Kokichi and Kaito both point their flashlight to see what he tripped over and both nearly had a heart attack. They saw Shuichis unconscious body turning blue curled up against a tree, "Shuichi!" They both yelled through tears. Kaito checked for a pulse, "He's pulse is weak!" Kaito grabed Shuichi and started carrying Shuichi to the nearest hospital while screaming at him to stay with them. The doctors rush him in to the ER. About 5 minutes later the doctor yells "Emergency! We're losing him!" Then 3 more doctors rush in. Kokichi is sobbing into Kaito's chest and Kaito is sobbing into Kokichis hair. 2 hours later the doctor comes out of the room with a sour expression Kaito quickly stands up, "Is he okay!?" "Well he's alive...but hes in a coma...come back tomorrow if you want to see him." The doctor said. "O-ok.." Kaito carried Kokichi home in his arms. The next morning Kaito nudges Kokichi awake. "Wake up we're going to see Shuichi!" Kokichi was confused how her was home but got up to go see Shuichi! They made it to the hospital and found their way to his room they walk in to see Shuichi with many different machines hooks up to him. "Oh he's not awake." Kokichi said. Kaito drops to his knees and sobs. Kokichi gets down with him, " Kaito what's wrong?" Kokichi said so innocently. "He's in a c-coma." Kokichi starts about with him. Then sometime later Kaito looks up and notices the bandages around Shuichi's arms and slowly unwraps them to see a world of cuts. He stares there blankly while wrapping the bandages back up then starts crying even harder, "Shuichi!"
