Suichi has been in the hospital for a month, still Kaito and Kokichi both still visit him every day. They both look terrible. Kokichi has puffy eyes and reaks of the smell alcohol, and Kaito has bags under his eyes and is way skinnier. They both stare at Shuichi in silence. After 20 minutes the doctor walks in, " Kaito Momota, Kokichi Oma. I don't know anyway to sugar coat this but there is no signs of Shuichi waking up. I recommend pulling the plug." The doctor said this everytime but Kaito and Kokichi just end up yelling and arguing with the doctor. Fast forward another month both Kaito and Kokichi look empty. For the first time the doctor walks in with a smile, "There have been many signs that Shuichi will wake up within the next few weeks!" Kaito and Kokichi feel tears rolling down their faces. The doctor walks out and Kokichi puts his head on Shuichis hand, "We didn't give up on you and you're finally going to come back to us!" Kokichi smiles.

Shuichi wakes up to complete darkness with the sound of a beeping heart monitor. He slowly moves his head and sees the green glowing light of the heart monitor and uses it to guide his hand the the reading light switch. He sees, light, then he panics, "Where's Kokichi and Kaito? What happened?" The question started flooding in. He soon spots the call nurse button and a nurse walks in, "You're up! I need to call you're boyfriends!" the nurse says with the most excited tone. "Huh what happened?" Shuichi says with a confused tone. "You were out in the snow for two days you were unconscious when you were found you've been in a coma for 1½ months." The nurses expression changed, "We all didn't think you would wake up but those two were very stubborn ones I tell you!" Ha I know..!" Meanwhile Kaito and Kokichi are in a huge argument like usual. Soon Kaito gets frustrated and strikes Kokichi then Kokichi goes and gets a beer then, Kaito hears his phone ring, "Kokichi it's the hospital!" Kokichi quick runs over. "Hello is this Kaito Momota?" "Yes it is." "Sir Shuichi is awake!"
