M. Anonymous."Can I come in?" Theodore asked, grinning while he pushed the door open.
I growled, glaring at him. "How do I know it's really you?"
He sighed. "Dad used to sing Brahm's "go to sleep" lullaby before bed. When we were captured, he sang it as soon as he realised we were panicking."
I tensed, looking away. "How are you alive?" I asked, pulling Elias closer to me. I still didn't trust my brother.
"Oh God." Elias gasped as Theodore lit a ball of fire in the palm of his hand.
"They thought it had killed me, but it didn't. Once they threw us out, we were rescued by a mother and her daughter. Dad died of old age, like any other father." He explained, walking into the house.
"How do you control it?" I asked him.
"Fortunately for me, that's the only thing they did to me. But they tortured you in more ways than one. I can help you, but it's going to be hard." He smiled.
"Who's that?" I asked, pointing at the boy behind him.
"This is my mate, Mia." He answered, smiling lovingly at him.
I nodded, looking away. "How did you find me?"
"Gosh you like to ask questions." Elias groaned, glaring at me. I frowned as Theo laughed.
"You must be my brother's mate." He chuckled, looking at Elias.
"Not really, no. I mean, it's complicated." Elias muttered. I gulped, nodding. Theo rose a brow but didn't say anything else.
"Why don't we all sit down in the living room." Kathryn suggested.
"Yes, you must be the sister. Kathryn, right?" Theo said, grinning.
I glared at him, wondering how he knew so.
"I've been watching you for a while. I was busy with work and I couldn't get to you yet, but here I am now." He cleared, sitting down. His mate sat in between his legs shyly. I smiled slightly.
"Tell me all that has happened until now." I demanded. Theo smiled, agreeing.
"I started about five years ago. I was contacted by a secrent agency called the Violas. They wanted me to infultrate a vampire slave industry in exchange of some information about you and your whereabouts. I didn't even know you were alive, so I agreed. I infultrated the mother joint of the underground slave trade. That's where I met Mickael. He was still human and had just been taken in. Most of them were kidnapped, although some were sold." Theodore paused, pulling Mia in his lap.
"What happened?" Elias frowned.
"It was going great. I was just about to get Mia out of there, while I contacted my colleagues. But they found out. I was beaten up pretty badly, and they left with Mia. It took us three years to find them. By then, Mia was sold. I took those sons of bitches down for good." He growled out the last part. "I found Mia a year later. He has been turned into a vampire in exchange for his freedom. It took me a while to gain his trust again," he paused, pecking Mia's cheek a couple of times which in turn made Mia blush and snuggle closer to my brother. "But now Mia and I are stronger than ever."
I smiled. "That's nice."
"I found you when you were still in that pack. But I couldn't just waltz into your life, I had a job and they needed me. I'm a part of the Violas now. But I took a leave of absence to come and see you. And here I am now, finally able to meet my twin brother. You look just like me, it's wonderful." He grinned, running a hand through my hair. I tensed when his hands touched my neko ears. He laughed, pulling away.
"You're not fun at all." He then pouted.
"I'm not fun, no." I agreed, frowning. How could I be? I was haunted by my worst nightmares. I was a human body filled with pain, anger, hatred and more pain.
"You're hurting a lot." I heard a soft voice say. I looked up at Mia, surprised.
"Too much." Elias whispered.
"I'm fine." I answered back, pursing my lips.
Theo ran a hand through his hair, and I couldn't help but wish my hair was as white as his.
"You're hair is still white." I muttered. Theo nodded, smiling sadly.
"It is." He agreed.
"What does it mean?" Kathryn asked.
"It means that I am pure enough. However, my brother has undergone a lot of procedures making his blood impure, therefore his hair turning into a clear gray." Theo explained.
"Maybe it's the killing." She muttered. I sighed.
Theo pursed his lips. "What about you, brother? Tell me your story." He said.
I tensed, shrugging. "There's nothing to say. Hunters have been chasing me my whole life and they haven't stopped. I am an abomination. I can't control myself. I have killed so many animals and people, I scare even those I care about." I said, glancing at Elias.
"I'm sorry I wasn't there for you. Father and I assumed you were dead. I was just a child and father didn't want me to feel sad and hopeless all the time. But deep down, I know he always wished you were alive and ok. And I promised him I would find you. And I have." Theodore smiled kindly at me.
"Perhaps your mate wants some blood." I suggested, getting up.
"I'll join you." Theo said, getting up with me as we headed to the kitchen.
"We have a spare room if you want to stay." I told him, getting a bottle of blood out of the fridge. He nodded, smiling softly.
"What's the deal with you and those two?" He wondered, pointing at the living room.
"Nothing. I've killed a lot and they just can't wrap their heads around it." I muttered.
"You weren't even conscious. They can't really blame you." He frowned. I shrugged before heading back to the living room with Theo, where everyone was seated.
"Thank you." Mia smiled, as I handed him the bottle.
After that, I walked them to their room, and said goodnight. I glanced at Kathryn and Elias, who were chatting among themselves.
"I'll be sleeping with my sister tonight." Elias said softly.
I nodded, walking to my bedroom. I didn't know if everything would go back to normal or if Elias would hate me forever. I sighed, stripping down to my boxers and went straight to bed, falling asleep as soon as my head hit the pillow.
