The darkness is overcoming
Like a sea full of waves
I am tumbling
And drowning
In nothing but air
I want to let it take me
To follow the currents
And be relieved
Of this feeling of darkness and pain
I try to swim
But I just keep sinking
Breathing gets harder
And harder the deeper we go
Into the sea of my soul
This place is unknown
But familiarly welcoming
I can choose to stay or go
So I choose

Into the unknown
Of the real world
I kick and swim and hear a voice
But only for a second
Until I'm under again
Tossing and turning
With no direction
Falling
Drowning
And this time
I'm too weak to swim
So I begin to sink
There's no one to save me now
Drowning in my soul
