Todoroki has always been there for me.  The one person that I know I can rely on.  I could tell him anything, he wouldn't judge, he would offer his opinion if I asked, he was practically the brother I never got.  That goes without saying that I love him very much.  Maybe more than just a friend or family member.  But he doesn't need to know that.

And sadly we didn't go to the same school; I applied for UA High but obviously what I gave wasn't enough.  I'm okay with it though, honestly, I bet Sho-kun has a whole bunch of expectations and work.  I prefer the laid-back life.  Trying to be somebody I'm not has never been on my to-do list, so I don't make that sort of effort.

Sho understands that, he always understands me.  It's good knowing that somebody always has my back.  He always has, I appreciate him more than anybody else for that.  So as I'm walking next to him on the way home from school, I'm not particularly paying attention to where I'm going or what's happening around me.

Treading along in a daze I suddenly feel a hand at my forehead and another on my wrist.  I'm yanked back physically as I start paying attention to my reality.  My back hits something both soft and solid.  The hand drops from my forehead but the other doesn't let go of my wrist.  I realize that I almost walking into traffic.  Shouto pulled me back, thank goodness.

"Y/N, you need to be more careful," he whispered in my ear.  his voice sent shivers down my spine.  "S-sorry," I stuttered, finally realizing the position we were in.  He seemed to notice too because he let go of my wrist and took a step back.  "It's okay, just pay more attention next time," he warns.  I nod at him and we stand side-by-side waiting for the crosswalk to become available.

The cars stop, the pedestrian sign turns on, and we continue walking.  We happen to be really close neighbors, part of the reason why we're friends.  When I was a young elementary schooler I couldn't not talk to somebody I hadn't met before.  Sho happened to be that somebody when I was in first grade.  We've been best friends since then.

As we're creeping up on our street, Sho takes a deep breath.  I can tell that he's uneasy about something, but I don't know what.  I don't ask though, for all I know it could have nothing to do with me.  We're on our street now, Sho's house is a few farther down than mine.  When I go to open my front gate he stops me.  "Y/N, wait," he starts.  I turn around to look at him.  "Yes, Sho?" I question.

He walks up to me silently, his face is only inches away from mine.  I stand stalk still, not wanting to ruin anything.  Then, very slowly, he kisses my cheek, lingering for a few seconds.  My face doesn't hesitate to transform into the color of a strawberry.  When he pulls away, he looks me in the eyes.  "I'll see you tomorrow morning," he says softly.

I don't say anything but he can tell that I'm in shock so he slowly walks away not tearing his eyes away from my form.  When he finally does turn around to walk to his house, I'm no longer in control of my body.  "Sh-Shouto!  Wait!" I call.  He turns around to the sound of my voice.  I hesitate for only a split second before running to him and wrapping my arms around his form in a hug.

He wraps his arms around my waist, hinting that he doesn't want to let go any time soon.  "Sho, I-I love you," I confess.  Almost instantly he says back, "I love you too Y/N."  I pull away for a brief moment before I kiss him on the lips.  This time he freezes up a little but eventually he gently relaxes.  I pull away slightly, only for him to grab the back of my neck and pull me in for more.  Assertiveness hasn't been one of Sho's strong suits, but I think I like it.
