I Finished paying for the Light Ravager's parking spot, and made my way to the building connecting all of the landing pads. We passed several ships, but the one that stood out to me the most was a large one with a strange symbol painted on the side that I had never seen before. It almost looked like a cross between the Jedi Order's symbol and the Galactic Empire's symbol. I quickly pushed the thought aside, and continued into the building where I found a bustling market. It was too cold outside to set up a normal outdoor bazaar, so they had to resort to holding it inside. There where many different floors, and each one held about 15 booths. The chattering of both animals and people filled the building, making it very loud. I made my way past several booths with various items, before making my way to the second floor. There, I found several booths filled with food. I bought enough to last me 20 days, more than enough for multiple trips with a working hyperdrive. During our long flight to Keeara Major, Klaw checked out the rest of the ship and couldn't find any other broken pieces that would need to be replaced.
I gave the food to Klaw, and asked them to take it back to the ship while I found a hyperdrives regulator. I made my way up to the third floor alone, and found several booths filled with all different kinds of mechanics. I stopped by each one, asking for a hyperdrive regulator, and when I got to the last one they said they had one.
"Thank you so much! It took me forever to go over to this planet without a hyperdrive. I didn't want to be stuck here forever. How much?" I asked the merchant, pulling my wallet out.
"10,000 credits." He said, with a snake-like grin. He knew he was asking more than I could give. I was about to start bargaining for it, but someone placed their hand on my shoulder stopping me. I turned to see a mysterious figure with a good over their head. On their shoulder, I recognized the same hybrid symbol I saw on the ship outside.
"You'll give her the hyperdrive regulator for 2,500 credits." The mysterious figure said, waving their hand in front of the merchants face. I felt a familiar wave of energy radiate from the person to my right.
"I'll give you the hyperdrive regulator for 2,500 credits." The merchant, which a dazed look in his eye, handed me the hyperdrive regulator and I handed him the credits. Almost as soon as I dropped the credits into his hand, The mysterious figure swerved me towards the exit keeping a firm grip on my shoulder.
"Who are you?" I loudly whispered, trying to act normal.
"I may as well be asking you the same question. We'll discuss this when we get outside." The figure maneuvered us through the crowds, until we finally made it outside. In the distance, I could see Klaw sitting by the ramp to the ship. They instinctively stood up seeing the stranger beside me.
"Let me give this to my droid so they can start repairing the ship." I said, pushing the strangers hand off my shoulder. They didn't fight back, as I jogged back to the ship.
"Who's your new friend?" Klaw said, extending their hand to take the regulator.
"I don't know. They said they wanted to talk, and I figured that's the least I could do after they saved me 7,500 credits on that regulator." Klaw and I went out separate ways, as I headed back to the figure to see what they wanted.
"So, who are you and what does that symbol mean?" I said, staying arms length away from them. They slid their hood off, revealing a young woman who wore her hair half tied back in a red ribbon. She had a long scar running down her face across her right eye.
"My names Violet Grey. I'm the leader of the Grey Republic."
