CHAPTER 5

JK POV

Today work was not as busy as it should be. It has been a week since I saw that mysterious girl outside of the restaurant. I wonder what she is doing right now. Is she lonely like me or she got a good family taking care of her?

I was day dreaming about her when suddenly the door opens. A beautiful girl with nice bangs covering her forehead. She wore a formal attire today but I know her by heart. She is the girl I bumped into and the one who did not reply to my smile last week.

I was shocked at first but proceed to smile at her. I welcome her to the restaurant as per normal. I don't want to be rude.

"Sorry I did not smile at you last week. I was afraid you thought I'm crazy but thank you for smiling at me last week. It was nice of you" she told me about her situation and I blushed at her comments. She is so funny.

"So you do notice me that day! I'm glad and sorry for bumping into you. Jisoo and I were late for work that day and I was catching up with Chaeng" I told her off but start shutting up as I think I talked too much. I can be like this when I'm excited to see someone. Somehow she gives me warm fuzzy feeling inside.

"Sorry I talked to much, I should stop and please do order at our counter there.. Jisoo will take your order" I explained to her not wanting her to mistakenly think me as a crazy girl. She smiled at me and I felt butterflies inside.

"Don't worry about it; you looked cute when you talk. I like it.. I will order now" I blushed hard when she says I'm cute. No one ever compliment me that way but I just nod and she went to Jisoo.

I saw that Jisoo laugh at her comments and she looked embarrassed. What did Jisoo talked to her? I will ask her later. I saw she ordered Spicy chicken and sit quietly at her place to eat. She looked so cute eating with her amused face from time to time. At certain particular time, I can see that she secretly looking at me and when our eyes met, I will smile. I know she blushed hard and averted her gaze. She is so cute and I can see how her eyes shine when she feels something new. Is she really a lonely person? I never saw her with anyone. I was doing my work when Jisoo called me over to the counter. Since we do not have much customer, I walked to her direction.

She smile teasingly while saying "I think that girl got a thing for you! She was mumbling and suddenly asked if you agree for a coffee after work. I asked her to ask you herself! I guess you will be seeing her after our shift is doneee.." Jisoo wiggle her eyebrows and my heart beats madly. So she wants to hang out with me? Who is she? Why am I attracted to her. I should say yes. I want to know her too.

I was about to go back to work when she crossed my path. "My name is Lisa by the way in case if you're wondering." She smiled and I blushed. Oh Jennie, control yourself! You are like a red chicken blushed every single time she smiles. I just nod shyly and I think my ear is getting redder.

She went out of the restaurant and I just remember to breath. She did not say anything about tonight. I am disappointed but I did not say anything. Maybe Jisoo wrongly heard her so I went and carry my duties for today until the closing time.

I was about to go out when someone make a sound behind me like clearing the throat. I jumped when I say Lisa.

"Oh my, you surprised me!" I told her while holding my chest. Her face changed from smiling to worry instantly.

"Oh so sorry, I did not mean it that way. I should have call you properly." She pouted and it is so cute I forget to breathe again. Jennie! I think you are going to die due to lack of oxygen!

"That's okay, just don't do that anymore" I smiled and her face changed back to her adorable state.

"Er.. I .. I.. I want to ask you out for a coffee if you want to.. My treat! You can choose the shop as I am not familiar here. It's okay if you are not comfortable, maybe next time" She looked so cute being nervous asking me out.

"Is this a date Lisa?" I teased her because I like seeing her being nervous fidgeting her finger with each other.

"Err.. If you want to think that way.. err hurmm I am okay with it. But I am not pushing you, maybe a friendly date to get to know you better?" She is still nervous but she is really direct and innocent.

"Sure! Let's go!" I cling my hand to her arm and dragged her with me. She seemed surprise to my answer but smile and followed me to nearest coffee shop.

We talked a lot and I got to know that she is with no parents. I cried listening to her story but she wipe it for me saying I should not be sad for her as my life are also terrible from start. She said that she was not so lonely when she reads mysterious letters every single month.

She even said she fell in love with the writer and my face changed. Is she someone who reads my letter? Is that really my letter? I did not ask her more as I don't want to scare her away. Lisa is every one's dream and I want to be friends with her.

Every time we talked, it seems that she wants to tell me something about the letter but ending up ignore it. I wished she could tell me, is the owner J.R.J.K? I am I the one she's been looking for. She sounded sad when she said the letter stopped this year and wanted to find the owner. I really wished she reads my letter and no other person.

I even told her that I am not from the city but I don't want people to find where I am due to safety reasons. I don't want people to hurt me and Jisoo. She heard my stories and her face expressions shows how angry she is. Is she worried about me?

"I don't like people hurting you Jennie! I will try my best to have you and Jisoo be safe. No one will know where you are okay" She told me and my tears dropped. No one ever say such thing to me. I never felt safe but I can feel how Lisa really cares about me. Not only me, but Jisoo too. I am touched and my heart flutters when she wipe my tears and smile at me.

I think we talked to much already and I felt tired. She agrees to send me home. I really thought we are going to walk but then I saw a black car approaching me. I became anxious to who is the owner when suddenly driver stop beside us and went out.

"Good Evening Miss Manoban and Miss Jennie, I will be your driver to send you home today" Lisa nods and take my hand into the car. She is freaking rich! OMG She is! We sat silent in her car as my house is not that far from the restaurant.

"I hope I don't scare you. That is my driver and he is a nice guy. I cannot drive because I've been staying home my entire life." She told me sincerely and to be frank, I am not scared. I can feel her sincerity.

"No I am not scared Lisa, I'm just surprised someone treat me this nice and I am touched. Thank you Lisa for tonight. I hope we can meet again" She smile brightly when I said I want to meet her again.

"From now on, I will see you at the restaurant daily! We will meet and maybe one day, I can invite you, Jisoo and Chaeng to my house?" I nod really fast getting excited and kissed her cheek for treating me coffee today.

"See you tomorrow then Lisa, good night and have a safe trip home Lisa!" She blushed hard getting kissed on her cheeks and went back in to the car.

I saw the car drifted away from my house and went up to my house. I saw how Jisoo wiggle her eye brows and this will be a long night explaining to her. But I'm grateful to know Lisa Manoban in my life.

"I know.. I know.." That's the word I told Jisoo and we went on to talk about Lisa. It was the happiest moment of my life!
