I gaped at the man in front of me. Immediately I reached for my hoodie to pull it over my face, but the old man reached his hand out and gently pushed it back so that it fell onto my back.

"No need to hide, Ellie. I am here to talk with you and your parents, if that's okay?" he glanced at my parents, who both nodded.

"Professor, we are so glad to see you." my mother said. Dumbledore nodded

"As am I, Julia, Eric. It is wonderful to see two of my best students doing so well. I trust you are being careful at work?"

"The Ministry has no idea, sir. We've kept her from them. They know she exists, but they do not know the power she holds." my father said.

"I doubt she knows, either," Dumbledore said.

"I know the power I hold," I interrupted "I'm dangerous, aren't I? I hurt people all the time. My curse makes everything worse. Whenever I'm around something bad happens." Everyone turned to me.

"She has some idea of it. But she has no idea, the hazards, and the good things." my mother said.

Dumbledore nodded "Okay. Well in that case, maybe we should get started. I was thinking to discuss Miss Bayards' abilities, and perhaps escort you to Diagon Alley, if I may?" My parents both nodded.

"Of course, sir." my father said.

"In that case, why don't we start he discussion. I'm sure Ellie has quite a lot of questions she would like answered. And there are a lot of things she needs to know." Dumbledore said, taking a seat on the lounge. I gulped, but nodded. Then I asked my first question

"Okay. What am I?"
