When I got home, I pulled out my pen and wrote something just above the phone number. 'Bailey', I had written. I was still in shock. The boy who had bullied me was now my only friend. That was some seriously messed up stuff. I tried not to think about it too much, but at the same time, I couldn't stop thinking about it. Bailey Laposay. Friend. Those words did not belong anywhere near each other, but that's what he was to me now. A friend. Of course, I still wasn't sure whether I should trust him, but I was just so happy in that moment that I could finally make a friend that I couldn't be bothered to think about anything else. I sat on the lounge in the front room. There was a big storm coming, and just as I sat there I saw the lightning light up the sky, then disappear. I stared at the front door for a while, brooding. Suddenly there was a massive clap of thunder, scaring the living daylights out of me. I went up to my room just as I heard the rain grow even heavier. I sat under the covers, my teeth chattering with the cold. Gusts of cold wind were blowing through a gap in my window, but I couldn't get up to close it. I felt like I was frozen to the spot. I reached under my bed and pulled out the spare blankets, piling them on my bed until I was in some weird cocoon thing, wrapped in about five blankets. Thunder started to become louder and louder, and the lightning was louder and more frequent. As I sat on my bed, I stared out of my window and saw the streets were already flooding. All I could think was 'I hope Bailey made it home.' Yes, that idiot had bullied me a lot, but if we were going to be friends we had to trust each other. I was already warming up to him, and if my best friend - well, not my best friend, but the only friend I had - got caught in this storm, there was a good chance I would never see him again. I felt like maybe I could stop the storm with my magic, but I didn't try for many reasons. First, I could make it worse, and second, I wasn't even sure what to do. I was only used to causing the disasters, not stopping them. Suddenly I heard a bang from downstairs. Scared, I grabbed two of my blankets and stood up with them around me as I crept down the stairs. When I got down there, the door was rattling, when suddenly the wind got too much and it was flung open. In the doorway stood a man. He was massive, and my mouth opened slightly. He stepped inside and shut the door firmly behind him. He had multiple large jackets on, and was soaking wet. When he saw me he gave a gruff smile.

"Ye mus' be Ellie," the man said "Ellie Bayards?" I nodded.

"And who are you?" I asked him, though I was pretty sure I already knew who it was.

"M' name is Hagrid," he said "Rubeus Hagrid. M' the gamekeeper, the Keeper of Keys an' Grounds of Hogwarts."
