Author's Note
I... have no words. I haven't updated this book for like almost the whole year 2020. This is a new year so I won't repeat what I did last year. I'm finishing this book by April or March, mark my words. Sorry for keeping y'all waiting, forgive me.
I at first lost the love of writing this book but regained it after rewatching Avatar the last Airbender and things are about to be interesting but that's not my place to say... you're the readers, you tell me.
Anyway, let's get on with the Chapter.
Wait! Before you read go ahead to my profile, I posted a message for y'all.
Enjoy.😁
________________________________________________________________Makoto's P.O.V
(Dream)
I was currently going through my father's book because I was bored and I was also captivated by the dragon I kept on seeing on every page.
"Makoto!" A deep voice yelled.
I quickly closed the book and froze as I felt my father's presence behind.
"Y-Yes, father." I replied slowly turning towards him.
I was greeted by a cold vicious glare.
"What are you doing in my studies? You're not suppose to be here." He stated sternly.
"F-Forgive me father. I should have asked for your permission." I said bowing to him, showing him my respect.
"Rise." He ordered and I did so. "Give me the book you were just reading."
I quickly took the book then handed it to him, he opened the front page before letting out a chuckle.
"This was your grandfather's book." He said.
"Really?" I asked, surprised.
"Indeed. Why did you pick this book specifically?" He asked.
"I was honestly intrigued by the Dragon." I responded.
"(Chuckle) The Dragon, huh? You remind me of myself when I was your age, I used to do the exact same thing. My father wrote this book before he took his last breath and passed it on to me just like his father passed on his book." He stated.
"Great-grand father wrote grandfather the same book?" I asked.
"Exactly. All the first borns before they take their last breath must write a book of their journey, the time they met the Dragon, the time their mark appeared and must pass it on to their first born." He explained.
"Their mark?" I asked in confusion.
"The mark on your right shoulder." He replied as I looked at it.
"Since I have the mark... can I see your mark father?" I asked.
"... It's somewhere I'd rather not discuss with you." He stated as his cheeks slightly turn red.
"And the Dragon? What's the Dragon's name?" I asked then he went down my level and placed a hand on my shoulder.
"In due time you remember his name." He told me.
"Awww, why can't you just tell me?" I asked.
"I already did, the day you were born I told you his name and now you must remember it." He said.
"What!? I was a baby, how am I suppose to remember that?" I asked making him chuckle.
"Believe me I was in the predicament as you are but my father told me that it's tradition." He said.
