Sam
I walked out of the exam room, shoulders sinking lower and lower. It was D day but it was done now. I had barely finished my paper when the bell rang, what haunted me was the stupid mistakes which I almost always committed in every damn exam.
I got overly cheerful by getting over the exam until a loud female voice called out from the loudspeakers.
"All the students assemble in the auditorium, I repeat all the students.."
'Geez, what do they want now' I scowled and dragged myself to the auditorium.
"Hey " I saw a hand waving at me.
No response.
"So you are dead" Lisa muttered.
No response.
I barely pulled my bag with myself, it felt all heavy in just a few moments and dangerously hung itself on my shoulder.
"I bet you murdered someone. I can see it. who was it? whose head are you carrying around in that bag of yours?"
"Can I murder this school too?" I shot daggers with my eyes.
"That would be a mass murder. "
"Too bad I don't wanna get my hands dirty on these petty brats. " I frowned a little.
The auditorium finally appeared in front of me after light-years of walking.
I felt many stares and many "is she dead?" behind me and it just rose the annoyance to another level.
"Aish, mind your work" I had screamed once.
"Is she crazy?"
"She looks scary" They itched away from me.
The auditorium was a magnificent hall, three-fourth filled with seats and an enormous podium in the middle.
"Students gather on the seats." They kept repeating the message which bothered me a lot.
"When was the last time when they called us like this?" Lisa had to shout into my ears because of so much noise and disturbance.
"I think it was 2 years back, they had come up with that insane plan to start a night school" I roared back.
"Yeah, I do remember that that does make the probability of this ending worse even better." She had her ways with her words.
"Alright, since everyone has been seated, I would like to present some good news to you all" the anchor was gleaming with happiness. He was in his late twenties and was dressed in a formal shirt and trousers with a shiny red tie.
"He doesn't look good news to me" Lisa mumbled.
This guy scared everyone because the auditorium was filled with pin-drop silence which was next to impossible.
"You guys are going camping!" he screamed on the mic.
The audience cheered in happiness and the place started looking like a school again.
"Woah...."I hooted.
"Is this for real? Isn't it some crazy field trip where you are supposed to gather knowledge?" I said.
"The school finally realized that we need rest too" another happy cry escaped Lisa.
"SHhhhhhhh" The anchor shushed everyone.
"Let me complete my talk first, young people"
"Everybody has to go, it's compulsory and has grades, it is made to develop your conscience and bond well with yourself, your friends and nature.
People will be assigned tasks over there so be ready for it. Any Questions?" he asked.
"How long will the trip last and when? " A girl asked from the first row.
"The duration will be a week and it'll happen after your midterm exams which is due in 3 weeks, any other question?" he gazed throughout the giant auditorium.
"So no questions, you may go," he said and the students spilled out of the room.
"They finally got sense knocked into them" Lisa expressed.
"Yeah, finally!" I agreed.
"But still, it's after midterms!!!" I had a bad habit of being too loud.
"Hope that it would pass by soon," I said.
"Hey" a redhead appeared out of the mass of heads disappearing out of the hall.
"Hi" I chirped.
"Hey" Lisa spoke.
"Aren't you excited?" Jimin inquired.
"Let's deal with the upcoming problem first" I mumbled.
"I'm excited," Lisa said.
"Let's just wait and see" I announced and walked ahead of them.
