Few minutes of interacting with Antonia, Allison knew she was a great personality to behold and anyone would be lucky to be in her small circle.

As instructed, Allison walked behind Antonia till they reached the boss's front door. Taking a deep breath, Antonia gently knocked on the door. After the second knock, it was then opened by a man who stepped aside for them to come in.

A faint tsk escaped Antonia's lips to which Allison took as nothing. Just when Allison was about to enter, the man loose grip of the door, walked pass and dropped on a couch situated by the left side, far from the ladies, burying his face in his phone.

As Allison stepped in and closed the door, she took in her environment that left her in awe at how fashionable, big, luxurious and the fragrance the office invoked. From the sky blue tiles which were being illuminated by the brightest chandelier that shone like blue diamonds, to the walls coated with frames of portraits of the best models signed under the company, pictures of Miss May bagging grammy awards and on red carpets. In summary it was a wall of fame.

The big desk filled with arranged paperworks was made of glass hence she had a thought about clients sitting across, having a view of what Miss May hid underneath. She could see the chair which looked majestic in black leather too. Looking the right side was a balcony with it's closed glass doors, she couldn't help but imagine the view of the town from there, beside the transparent doors were fresh lilies in a vase, seated on a stool, no doubt giving the office quite a pleasant smell. Her eyes also caught sight of a mini bar behind a counter, loaded with expensive and exquisite champagnes and wines. Still acquainting her self with the office, Miss May walked out from a door beside the bar.

Each click of her heels on the tiles was filled with imperial splendor and composed charisma. Standing before Allison was her role model since high school; a pearl, elegant, beautiful, blue blooded and industrious idol. Her antique gold jumpsuit hug her body like an hourglass while her black hair cascaded from her shoulders, reaching her back. Despite being average, she wore heels, denoting superiority. Glancing at her accessories made Allison scold herself for wearing simple outfits.

"Yes?" Her voice came out strong and powerful.

"As requested I found an assistant Miss May," Antonia replied politely.

"What's your name?"

Antonia stepped aside for Allison to step forward.

Nervously, Allison did and although her hands were sweaty, she wiped it off on her skirt and stood erect.

"Good day Miss May. My name is Allison Swan. It's my utmost pleasure to finally meet you," Allison recited the words she spent hours rehearsing, nevertheless pondering if her statement was enough to create an impression.

Within minutes of interrogating Allison, Miss May pouted, walked slowly to her desk and sat on the edge with her hands laid on it to support her balance. There, Allison's heart started pumping faster. If her assumptions are correct, Miss May is about to discard her. More so, she's nothing in comparison of a worthy assistant to a great celebrity. Instantly she felt discomfort in her stomach.

"Say Ry, what's ur intake in this?" Miss May stuck out her face to another direction.

Following the direction of her face, Allison's eyes bulged at another sight to see. Her face was drained to utter a word, goosebumps sprouted quickly. She felt cold. She was engulfed in the wonders of the office to had noticed him earlier, because on the couch sat the man who saved her from the horror of that night.

Bryan?

"She seems intriguing," he said approvingly.

                                 *****

Allison closed her eyes and smiled once she sat on her designated desk, she was way too thankful for the changes, improvement and growth in her life and how it favored her.

Drifting to the her hurtful past, Allison recalled the quiet life she lived with her parents and boyfriend  till things took a turn to Chinatown. She could still remember the little bad decisions she took as a rebellious teenager that escalated big. She brushed those memories off and set off to organize Miss May's office.

Stepping into the office, she was bedazzled once again and it took her moments later to focus on the task ahead.

After the encounter with Miss May and Bryan the previous day - who either didn't recognize her or acted the part - she got to know that her clerical works involved getting to the her workplace earlier than other workers, bringing Miss May her favorite grand latte a few blocks from Fashion Fay, piling and arranging paperworks on her desk, typings, taking records, scheduling, making appointments and answering calls, creating dinner reservation for Miss May and random dates, not to mention handling her social accounts to keep her private life at bay. Quite alright it was a lot to handle but that was what she wanted all along.

Allison got an iPad from the company to access her accounts to post of her specific moves. She was really happy indeed, at least with her new job she gets to be busy and live the secluded life she deemed so.

Satisfied with her neat arrangement, Allison left eagerly to get Miss May's coffee. Although the building was serene, few workers were stepping in for work.

Pushing the glass door aside, Allison was greeted with the cold breeze of autumn which caressed her skin and for few minute she let loose, walking independently on the streets, smiling at strangers, as well enjoying the sweet fragrance from a flower shop she passed. She couldn't help but beam with smiles when the sun shone on her face.

Finally reaching the shop, she went in and the shop bell didn't hesitate to notify her arrival. Eyes stared at her as she slowly reached the counter to make her order.

"Hi. I would like a grand latte and a cappuccino for takeaway please?" She said nervously to the man behind the counter who wrote down her orders, still well aware of the stares sent her way.

She wanted to ask him why people were acting weird around her but he was too focused in preparing her orders so she didn't bother to.

"One latte and a cappuccino coming up!"

Allison took notice of his voice. Little curiosity made her stare at the worker  backing her. All she could take note of was his cap, small raven black hair falling out of his covered hair and a tan smooth skin, and although the T-shirt he wore was tight on his arms, it still flexed free as he did his job.

Allison got distracted from a notification on her phone so she used that to forget the eyes that bore holes at her. Still waiting for her orders, she leaned on the counter, busy with files on the device.

The coffee guy placed her orders on the counter. "Here you go, that will be..." His customer smile dismissed and he was taken aback.

"Hi Allie." He chuckled, standing akimbo.
