The next week was a very stressful waiting game for Jasmine and her roommates. Even though Jasmine had told Kate she could write, she never received a letter, nor did the others. They could understand though and carried on as best they could without worrying too much. The weekend soon crept up, which meant it was time for Jasmine and Brenda to take on Peter and Edmund's school in the hockey tournament that had started. Jasmine had heard that Peter and Edmund were both going to attend, which made her both excited and worried to have Peter watching her play. She had managed to keep it a secret from him so far and worried that him being there would put her off and cost her a place.

When it came near the time, Jasmine and Brenda went down to the changing rooms and put on their hockey gear. Jasmine sat on a bench whilst Brenda did some stretches, and she couldn't stop thinking about Kate. She hoped Kate felt she could come and support them, but she wouldn't hate her if she didn't.

"Right, ladies!" The coach came into the room and blew her whistle, which made the girls wince at the sound. "Oops. Sorry. Are you all ready to face our rivals? Just to let you know I will not accept defeat under any circumstances."

"They're our rivals?" Jasmine asked.

"Yes. Have been since they cheated against us and won the cup two years ago." The coach replied. "Now come on, girls!" She clapped and started to lead the team out of the dressing room.

"That's not true." Brenda whispered to Jasmine as they gathered their hockey sticks. "Her husband is their coach and they get very competitive. And when I say very, I mean very."

"Wow. I would not like to know what living with them would be like." Jasmine said and Brenda nodded in agreement, before the girls left the changing room with their team.

Out on the field and the opposing team were warming up. Susan and Lucy sat on a bench with Ellie and Beth, waiting for the Saint Finbars team to come out. Susan kept glancing over at the gates of the school, wondering how much longer Peter and Edmund were going to be. She had warned both of them to attend the game without giving away too much. Then she noticed them appear and waved them over.

"Hey everyone." Edmund greeted when they got to the bench.

"Oh hey, guys. Here to watch the game, I see." Ellie said, wiggling her eyebrows.

"Well, Susan did say we should come or she would castrate us." Peter pointed out.

"Good to know I don't have to do that." Susan spoke.

"So, what's so important about this game? The tournaments just started." Edmund reminded.

"You wondering where your girlfriend is, Peter?" Beth asked him.

"A little. Why?" Peter asked suspiciously.

"I'd look at the team you're playing." Lucy grinned and pointed towards the field. Peter and Edmund followed her pointing and they were surprised to see Jasmine was part of the Saint Finbars hockey team that were coming out to face their school. Peter's heart skipped a beat seeing her in her hockey clothes with her hair tied up as she very much looked like someone who was from this world.

"I wish a man looked at me like that." Ellie spoke before putting a piece of chocolate in her mouth. Peter ignored her and couldn't take his eyes away from Jasmine. Eventually, Brenda noticed Peter and nudged Jasmine, pointing his way. Jasmine looked and she blushed when she saw Peter looking at her. She gave a small wave with a smile and he waved back.
