enechelon : Enjoy!
"Welcome to Starlight." Podd was greeted enthusiastically by a male waiter at the counter the moment he slid into the restaurant. His enthusiasm influenced Podd to retort a smile that showed his perfect, white teeth. A genuine one because the waiter deserved it after all.
"What can I help you sir?" The waiter asked, lips twitched upwards, fixating his eyes on him. Podd glanced briefly over the golden nametag that pinned to his pristine, white long sleeve shirt. He read in a second the four elusive letters that spelled up the owner's name.
'Rain' Short and sweet but not what describes the owner of this name. This Rain guy is cute like a kitten.
Must be a nickname.
"Sir?" The waiter asked again, tilted his head.
"I have booked a reservation for a table for two under my name." "Podd," "Podd Suphakorn."
The waiter understood and checked on his iPad on the counter, skillfully swiped through a page, and beamed. Podd was sure he had found his name in the list. "Sir, you have requested for the ring in a wine glass." "For marriage proposal." He read beside the list under the additional requirements. Rain's face that still had boyish look beamed in delight.
Podd grinned with a hint of flush. A man blushed, okay. "Yes, I have."
"Congratulations sir!" "And thank you for choosing us as part of the celebration." Rain's words and his face appeared weirdly authentic and sincere like a stranger that happy for another stranger's happiness.
"So, sir, would you like to hand in the ring, now?" "Or later, when the right time comes,"
'Right time' meant so much to Podd because he kept questioning was it the right time to propose and peels off his bachelor status in a few months.
Without thinking once, Podd nodded and retrived a crimson, velvety ring box from one of his coat pockets. He caressed the smoothness of the fabric of the small box in his hold because it was precious, meaningful and placed gently on the counter.
Next, Podd watched Rain swaying back and forth a small, brassy bell for a few times producing light, tinkling sounds that undeniably cleansed Podds' ears.
Thirty seconds later, another male waiter appeared and slowly approached the counter. Compared to Rain who is an adorable little kitten in Podd's eyes, this new waiter is a sinfully, gorgeous human being.
Podd chose sinful because of how tight or skinny his black, crisp pants that this waiter wore. It naughtily accentuated the flesh of his thighs and collaring tightly around the curve of his ankles. Did Podd mentioned only the pants?
This anonymous waiter had his sleeves rolled up showing his lean arms too.
Podd wondered if this anonymous, sinfully gorgeous waiter had a bad day or was currently in a bad mood because his handsome face was emotionless and if it did have an expression, it would be I don't give a fuck who you are, I'm just wanted to do my job kind of expression.
"Bro, he's yours." Rain informed to the anonymous, sinfully, gorgeous waiter and in return, he glanced over Podd with his blank eyes and said "Okay."
Something stirred inside Podd's gut and he didn't know the real cause to pinpoint. Was it the "Bro, he's yours.", like Podd belonged to this anonymous waiter and vice versa or the low baritone voice that belonged to -
"Sir, Gawin would be assisting you from now onwards." Rain informing as his eyes flickered at the waiter beside him. Rain gave the wedding box to Gawin with a gentle care as he made sure that the box reached into Gawin's hold before he pulled his fingers away.
