yoongi woke up feeing terrible. he wasn't sick or anything but he felt like he was leading jungkook on. he felt that whether or not he ended up with taehyung or jungkook didn't matter. he needed to let jungkook know what was happening. yoongi sighed and walked into the living room where jungkook was watching T.V. "kookie?" yoongi said in a quiet voice. jungkook turned around. "hey kid." jungkook said. "look..." yoongi said not daring to look jungkook in the eyes. "we need to talk." "oh okay." jungkook said. yoongi walked over to the couch and sat down next to jungkook. "so what is it?" jungkook said to yoongi. yoongi sighed. "jungkook, you know you've always had my heart right?" jungkook grabbed yoongi's hand. "of course hyung." yoongi knew he shouldn't beat around the bush. "j-jungkook...listen. a-after you left i met someone. they became my best friend. but soon i felt something more. but they didn't feel the same way." "so what are you trying to say hyung?" "jungkook...they told me recently that....they liked me back." "oh." jungkook said flatly. "so you...want to be with them?" "i don't know." yoongi sighed. "i don't know if i want to be with him...or you." "how come?" "i don't know. i mean i liked him for a long time. but i fell in love with you before you left. but i've been with you before. and i know how great you are but-" "you want to try something knew?" jungkook said. "no- well i don't know. i wanted him for so long. and nows my chance. but i don't know how that will go. with you i know things will go perfectly. i-i just don't know what to do." yoongi shed a tear. "do what your heart tells you hyung. whether that be you end up with him or me." "but i don't know if i want to be with you or taehyung." "hyung listen to me. just do what your heart tells you. if you really like this guy then date him." jungkook looked away. yoongi could tell he was hurt. "i don't want to hurt you. i love you, you know." "yeah," jungkook put yoongis hand in his. "don't let my feelings get in the way of being with who you truly want." "i'm sorry." "and in the end, if you choose me i'll be so happy. and if you don't i'll be happy for you. when you figure it out call me, okay?" jungkook said getting up and walking to the door. "jungkook wait!" yoongi got up and gave jungkook a kiss before he left. jungkook walked out the door and closed it behind him. yoongi sat down and opened his phone and called hoseok.
"i broke his heart!" yoongi cried into hoseoks shirt. "yoongi! it's okay he understands." "b-but-" "yoongi, all i'm going to say is, you better make the pain you put him through worth it." yoongi looked up to hoseok. "hyung, what do you mean by that?" "if you do end up with taehyung, you better hold on to that fucking relationship. no matter what happens y'all have to work through it." yoongi sniffled. "you're right." "call taehyung. hang out with him today." hoseok said rubbing yoongis back.
taehyung was at yoongi's house. yoongi wasn't going to lie taehyung did make him feel better. "ugh, i can't believe we have to go back to school tomorrow." yoongi said. taehyung laughed. yoongi sat down next to taehyung on his bed. "soo..." yoongi said looking at taehyung. "whatcha wanna talk about...?" taehyung leaned closer to yoongi. "how about kissing?" before yoongi could answer taehyung places his lips on yoongi's. the kiss was subtle and gentle. taehyung pulled away. "your lips taste like mint chocolate." taehyung said to the younger with a smirk. yoongi blushed.
it was the next day and yoongi arrived at school. he saw jungkook talking with some of his friends. yoongi sighed and walk past to meet up with hoseok. yoongi didn't have many friends in his grade. his main friend would've been jungkook, but now he's not sure jungkook even wants to be friends. hoseok and yoongi eventually split up when the bell rang.
it was now a period before lunch. yoongi was simply getting his books when a senior walks up to him. yoongi was a small kid. this senior used to pick on him. yoongi was lowkey nervous of what this guy wanted with him. "i'm bored." the senior said to him. "okay? i didn't really ask." even though yoongi was small he still had a mouth on him. and could fight most of the time. "what'd you say to me?" the senior asked him. "i said i didn't fucking ask." at this point yoongi was starting to get irritated he wanted to be left alone. "so get the fuck out of my face, thanks." yoongi slammed his locker door. and tried to walk away but the guy pulled him back. the guy punched yoongi in the face. yoongi wasn't having it and slammed his fist into the guys mouth. this only angered the guy more and the guy slammed yoongi into a locker. the guy punched yoongi in his face several times. at this point a crowd was starting to develop. yoongi punched the guy in his mouth again. the guy punched yoongi in his lip. yoongis lip busted. yoongi kicked the guy in his groin. "fuck!" the guy screamed letting go of yoongi. suddenly three faces emerge from the crowd. it was namjoon, seokjin and hoseok. "shit yoongi what happen to you?" jin said running up to the younger. "nothing hyung." yoongi turned to the guy and namjoon was already beating the guys ass. hoseok and jim brought the yoongi to the nurse while namjoon was beating and scaring the guy for messing with the younger. yoongi got to spend the rest of the period in the nurses office.
it was finally lunch and of course yoongi was sitting by himself at a table in the back with his hood on. it felt like the whole cafeteria was staring at him. suddenly someone sits down next to yoongi. yoongi turns to find it's jungkook. "hey," jungkook says to yoongi. "i heard what happened. i'm sorry i couldn't be there to defend you, i brought you ice cream." jungkook smiled as he put the ice cream on the olders plate. yoongi took off his hood. "thanks kookie." jungkook hugged the latter. yoongi was taken by surprise but hugged jungkook back. "no matter who you choose. i'll still love you. and will always be your friend. if i can't be your boyfriend....i don't mind being your best friend." yoongi hugged the younger tighter. "it reassures me to know i won't lose you kookie."
