Chapter 5- A visitor

Even though clorissa was in a wheelchair it didn't stop her from telling everyone what to do. But it also didn't hide that she was truly happy.
"Here mrs. President!" A young child in an elf costume handed clorissa something in a cup, then me. I gulped it and yelled. So hot!
"You aren't suppose to drink it so fast!" Clorissa said looking back at me. I touched my mouth pouting. How do you drink something so painful? I handed it back to the child. I waited for clorissa to finish the drink until we started going back up the stairs. I admit this is harder than I thought I thought it would be.
"Mrs. President!" Lily ran out a room to us. Behind her came the rest of the council.
"That sure looks tough." Timmy said staring.
"Don't stare like an idiot! Crow did the headmaster ever set up the handicap part for the stairs?"
"What are you talking about?" I asked.
"The headmaster was going to set up the staircase so that half of it was flat, so that a wheelchair can go on it. You just pushed a button and it'd make the new half appear."
"How neat.." I mumbled.
"He does have it set up, the button should be at the the bottom of the staircase." He headed down the stairs.
"Everyone clear the stair case!" We all got in a room and I watched as the ground changed completely. I wish I could describe what I was seeing.
"There! Now we can go up the staircase easier." Clorissa said smiling. I nodded pushing her out the room onto the staircase. It was so flat under my feet!
"Alright let's go check on those seniors." I nodded going to our class. Clorissa shook her head with a smile. Everyone was in maid uniforms and served strangers. I watched as Alex cleaned off a table, He had such a bored expression.
When I looked at clorissa she was looking at me.
"Why don't we eat?" She said with a wink. I pushed her to the table Alex was at because it was the only empty one.
"Hello, what would you like to eat?" He handed me and clorissa a menu. He was avoiding my eyes.
"Oh thank goodness, I've been craving real food sense I got out the hospital. How about...spaghetti? What about you Scarlett?" I stared at the menu, I don't know what I want. I mean I don't even know half these foods by name.
"Grilled cheese." I said with a shrug.
"Beverage?"
"Tea." Clorissa said.
"Coca cola." I mumbled looking away at Ruth. She was with her friends gathered in the corner talking.
"Alright, I'll be back." He left us to behind a curtain set up in the Center of the room.
"He said we are going somewhere." June said to Ruth, listened closely.
"Really? Where?" Ruth asked.
"He said no human has been there. That's all he would tell me."
"Well at least I get to come too!" I bite my lip looking at my table. No human has been there. Is he referring to my home? That's impossible they would get killed trying to get past the guards!
Father has been leaving to earth, is it possible that someone else can take the throne? But he's the creator! That's not possible is it?!
"Scarlett?" I looked up and found clorissa's eyes on mine.
"You haven't touched your food."
I blinked staring at the food on a plate infront of me. When did that get here?
"Oh." I started eating it quickly.
"Eh.." Clorissa stared. When I finished she was still eating.
"What time do you want to go to my place?" I asked.

"Well that was quick.."She mumbled as she ate. I just wanted to get out of this atmosphere. More like I wanted to go and try contacting father about what I found out, and jones too.

"Sorry, I'm just excited about showing you the dress." I said smiling, It wasn't really a lie. I did want to show her my dresses and see what she thought about them. I've never bragged about my own things, it felt fun.

"Then lets go. I can't wait to see my dress for tonight!" Right as I stood up I ran into Ruth.

"Oh, so you guys are going to the Ball?" She looked at me with a rude expression.

"We are." I said pushing past her. That's when I felt something cold spill over my shirt. I looked up at her. June held an empty cup and smiled.

"I'm sorry, it was an accident." June said with a snicker. I breathed in and out.
