Everything hurts.

That was the only thought running through her mind. The room she was in was made of pavement. A thin layer of wet mud covered the ground. It was gritty and uncomfortable. Her hands were tied behind her back and her throat felt raw. She could hear the faint noise of water dripping somewhere. The air was dry though. And the room smelt like death.

Her head was throbbing and her knuckles were itchy. She remembered being tazed in the side and dragged away. Away from Alia and Nate.

Jessie's heart pounded at the thought of them being hurt. She needed to get out of there.

"Relax."

Jessie jumped as a speaker somewhere emited noise of a gritty mans voice.

"Your siblings are fine. You have been exposed to the very first of our experiments gone wrong." The man said.

"Where are they?" Her voice came out croacky. The lights were off but she knew there was probably a camera somewhere. They were probably laughing at how pathetic and weak she looked.

Jessie sighed and looked around hoping for her eyes to adjust to the dark. She felt her brown hair brush against her face.

"That, I cannot tell you. I can tell you however, that we're not going to hurt you. On purpose. We're just going to run a few tests. Physically and mentally." The voice said.

"For what?"

"For what's out there."

Jessie sighed impatiently. She was irritated with the lack of necessary answers this guy was giving.

She heard a soft feminin voice in the background of the speaker.

"Sir, we have an issue..."

"I'll be right on it Helen. And don't do anything stupid, I'm leaving you in charge here."

There was minutes of silence, it was unbearable. Jessie was always a very patient young woman and could wait out anything, but at the moment, in this type of situation. Every little noise made her gather up hope only to have it thrown away when it was just a mouse. Her eyes were beginning to adjust to the dark room, she could see that the pavement room was completly empty, there were vibrant green plants of some sort growing on the walls. But what suprised her the most though was the large steel door, accompanied by many different varieties of gears and rods.

Out of no where, a blinding white light came on, making her squint. She soon heard the sound of a slight beeping outside and mechanical noises could be heard coming from the door.

Jessie was scared, she had no idea what to expect when the door opened. Her hands became sweaty and her pulse rised, she could practically feel it leaping out of her chest. But was soon suprised by what was actually in the doorway.

A woman with brownish-blonde hair and friendly smile stood there. She was very thin and frail looking, not to young but not to old. She wore goggles over her large blue eyes, and her walk was cat-like. As it almost looked like she was gliding across the floor, her steps were long but silent, and she held a knife in her hand.

Jessie's eyes grew and she tried pushing herself back, but a concerned glance from the woman stopped her. She was quite beautiful, looked harmless for that matter, except the bloody lab coat and knife.
