"Jessie!"
Alia giggled hard as Jessie rubbed her fingers in a spider like motion on Alia's sides. Nathan was sitting in the arm chair in the corner of the room. Where dad always used to sit. Jessie smiled sadly, though it was a few years ago, she was still upset about her fathers passing. Jessie continued tickling until Alia was screaming for her to stop. Jessie stopped and smiled at Alia. Alia smiled up at her older sister in a loving sisterly way.
"Can you wead Mr.Brown for me pwease?!" Alia asked in her high pitched three year old voice.
"Of course!"
Jessie searched around for the book after finding it under the large white couch.
The entire house was quite beautiful. But the living room was her favourite. Across from the large couch Jessie and Alia were sitting on was a loveseat with light blue and grey pillows, beside it, a small table with book-shelf like drawers under it. A couple of old magazines and books were piled up on it. Behind the stand was a large jungle looking plant. At a slight tilt beside the stand was the single chair Nathan was sitting on, it matched the couches and the grey wooded floors. Between the two couches was a black and white rug dad had gotten from Italy on his world wide buisness travels, on top of it a glass top coffee table with intricate designs on the legs of the table. There was a stone fire-place with burning logs in it, and a picture of an old 1800 sail boat on a wrestless sea. Grand-ma was a painter and a collecter. The painting on the fireplace was one that she had inherited from her great-grandmother.
Beside the fireplace were two matching bookshelves. Each with a variety of different novels and series. On top of the fireplace mantel was a bunch of different scented candles and flower vases. A couple of candles were lit making the room smell of 'Cinnamon Pecan Swirl'. That's what the scent was called anyways.
"Arrg, again Alia? Seriously how many times has Jessie read that to you? I'm pretty sure you can resite word for word! OH THE WONDERFUL THINGS MR.BROWN CAN DO!" Nathan explained. Nathan was always a bit sarcastic and goofy, no matter how much something annoyed him though, he always came around.
With the pouty look on Alia's face that is.
"You love it Nate!"
"Yeah sure, whatever helps you sleep at night Jessie." He said chuckling lightly. Jessie quickly got up, grabbed a magazine rolled it up and smacked him on the nose.
"Hey!? What was that for?"
"You know what that was for." Jessie said smiling devilishly. She had finally gotten back at him for putting ice cold water on her back while she was sleeping two weeks ago.
Nathan grabbed the remote off of the small table beside the single chair. A small smile was plastered on his face. He hit the on button at the top and he switched it on to foot-ball almost immediatly.
"YES!" He screamed jumping out of his seat.
"Wha-"
"We interupt this program to bring you an international warning. A deadly virus has broken out world wide. Find shelter, food and water immediatly. It is unknown as to what time this will be over. Please remain calm and best of luck."
Alia looked over to Nathan and began to sweat. She was obviously very nervous. Jessie looked at Nate and shrugged her shoulders. She had no clue what kind of virus this was and she could honestly say she was absolutly terrified.
"Nathan." Jessie said. She could hear people outside screaming. She covered Alia's eyes and looked out. A humongous row of cars had formed and people were struggling to even get anywhere.
