Chapter Six, Finding out

Aurora was feeling excited but also feeling really down this morning when in really it should've been a happy day. Sighing she climbed out of her warm bed and headed downstairs for breakfast and to take her potions only pausing to put on her dressing gown and slippers. She was having her fifth month scan today and finding out the gender of her and Fred's baby, but he wasn't here. He would never see their child grow up and she missed him greatly.

As she made her way down the stairs she ran into George and Charlie. They had moved into Grimmauld Place with them a few months ago. George couldn't stand being in the flat he used to share with Fred, so he had changed Fred's room and the living room into a stock room for his shop, his bedroom was turned into a lab where he would do his experiments and the kitchen was kept the same for the staff to take breaks in. He and Charlie had moved in here as they couldn't stand the way their mother and sister was treating Aurora and refused to go home when they were there. Now months down the line they still hadn't changed and their father and the rest of their siblings were getting quite sick of it to say the least.

So the Grimmauld Place has been used where they all gather together instead of the Burrow. At times even though it was a large house, Aurora often felt it was too crowded. During those moments Dora would either take her and Teddy out of the house to a muggle park for Teddy, who absolutely adored his Godmother and she him as she would spend hours with the sixth month old. The other times Aurora would lock herself away in either the library, her bedroom or dads just to escape and get some solitude. But she didn't have to worry too much about it now as Hermione, Ron and Ginny have returned to Hogwarts to do their eight and seventh years, and the rest had returned to work only popping in on the weekends every so often.

Hermione was insistent that Aurora go and finish her education as well, not understanding she couldn't think about it let alone step in Hogwarts without having a panic attack and only stopped her rants when Remus and Sirius threatened to bar her from entry to their home did she let the matter drop. The only people who really understood how she felt in regards to losing Fred were her dad who had lost Marlene McKinnon in the First War, George who had lost his twin and Andromeda who had lost her husband Ted Tonks at the beginning of the Second War. Everyone else said they did but it was obvious by Hermione's actions she didn't understand.

"How're you feeling Rory?" George asked bringing her out of her thoughts just before she walked into him and Charlie. Aurora blinked a few times as she came out of her thoughts. It was clear she was just moving automatically not even thinking about or seeing where she was going. Aurora tried to smile at George and Charlie but it came out more as a grimace so she just sighed and shrugged her shoulders. She knew she should be happy and she was to an extent but it was another reminder her baby would grow up without it's father.
