As I sat there eating my food I realised how tired I was. With everything going on I haven't slowed down at all and now I felt it. I finish off my meal and one of Will's sisters came to collect it. I think her name was Alice? I got under the blanket and pulled it up to my chest thinking I'll need to bore myself to sleep but before I knew it my lights were out and on came the dreams.

I was standing in the pitch-black world of shadows my mind conjured up. The name I gave it was given due to darkness and shadows being the only thing existing beside myself, well until my mind can think of something that would scare me. I walked around a bit cautious of what might be lurking in the veil of the shadows. Suddenly I came to a stop realising that the shadows were moving. I spun around and ran as fast as I could in whatever direction I was headed in. The shadows were chasing me. I was faster than the shadows but more just kept joining the chase. Out of breath, I come to a stop only to find that they had trapped me in a circle. The predators have captured the prey. They close in on me making a cocoon of shadows. It's cold, dark. I don't like it. Make them stop. I try my hardest to make them listen and obey but they just keep coming closer. My breathing becomes sharp and the shadows burn my skin when they come too close. I start screaming for help but no one is around to save me. I curl up into a ball and wish for once that the sun would shine... Maybe all I needed was to wish for it.

A blinding white light started to break through the shell of darkness. The burning stops and I get up from my ball and lookup. I see the one thing I wished for. The 'sun' shines and suddenly the room is filled with warmth and light. I look closer at the 'sun' and see that it isn't a sun at all but a boy. The boy has wings made of light and he glows bathing in the light he creates. Eventually, my shock dissolves and I try to run-up to the boy to thank him but every time I try to get close the room darkens. I turn around to see if the shadows are back but stop when I realise it's the boy who's losing light. I start sprinting to try to catch up, to try to save him. What was once bathed in light is now being enclosed by shadow the boy makes one last attempt to save me he casts a light beam out. It hits me right in the chest and I am engulfed in the same light he was. The shadows come back but now they aren't after me, they are after the boy. I run desperately trying to reach him I am so close. I reach out my hand and almost grab his when he's fully cocooned in the darkness. My hand recoils back and I plead with the shadows to let him go. Sobs wrack my body and I find out calling out a name I find so familiar yet I can't seem to remember who it was.

Sunshine.

I wake up in the infirmary in a cold sweat. Like usual it was just a dream. I feel a tear roll down my cheek and I shiver. Dreams that could make you cry scared me. Half-bloods had every right to be scared of dreams. I am no exception. My throat feels raw and I look outside to realise it's the middle of the night. All the healers should be back in their cabins except whoever's doing the night shift. I look around and can't find the healer in this room, they must be in the kitchen or bathroom. I quietly hop out of bed and make my way to the kitchen. I open the door and shut it to not wake any patients. I find a rack of glasses sitting on the kitchen bench and I grab one and fill it with the tap water. It's so peaceful at night here. I sip my water and listen around me. Something doesn't feel right, no scratch that, something doesn't sound right. I listen harder and I hear someone coughing violently. I place my glass down and go to check on the patients to make sure I don't need to go wake up the Apollo cabin. I glance around and everyone is still sound asleep, whoever is coughing isn't a patient. I frown. It must be coming from the bathroom. I close the door behind me and make my way to the other door on the opposite side of the room. I knock once to make sure I don't barge in on anyone. I hear a muffled "come in," I grab the handle and open the door.

I freeze at the sight on the room. Will solace is leaning against the sink swaying on his feet. I see bloodied tissues pilling up beside him. He looks up at me through the mirror, his face is gaunt and his eyes are bloodshot and have bags darker than any I have ever seen. His shirt is bloodstained and so is the sink he is clinging onto desperately. He does the one thing I never thought I'd see anyone do in this situation. He smiled his signature golden boy grin. "Hey deathboy."
