When you're ready to talk, I'll be waiting to listen

"Wow..."

"This... is what you made me walk half an hour for?!" I raise my eyebrows before realising that what I just blurted out was probably pretty offensive. Well I mean I had a right to say that, it was just a field of grass about the size of a very small oval bordered with trees, the grass had closed flower bulbs, which was about the only exciting thing about the field.

"Uh-um I mean it's great Will!" I put on a smile hoping he thought my first comment was a joke. He didn't.

"Geez, you're quick to judge death breath, don't worry though I know what you mean." He smiled and laughed at my panicked face before I breathed a sigh of relief. "During the day this field is covered in a special flower that blooms only during the day thanks to Katie, it looks amazing too, but that isn't the only reason this field is great," he stood very still while he talked with a professional air that would've rivalled even Annabeth... I'm glad I didn't say that out loud. If I looked confused before, now I would've looked like Percy and Leo combined. Leo... I push the thought out of my mind, there's a time and place to think about that and now is not the time, I focus on the glowstick in front of me.

"Sounds great Will but I feel like you're leaving me in the dark about something," Will groaned and shook his head at me.

"That was bad even for my standards Di Angelo," I scoffed and folded my arms across my chest. "So you can give horrible nicknames and I can't make puns?" I protested but he just grinned "Exactly, but enough of this I think it's time I show you the real reason we're here." At this, I perk up and lose interest in our previous spat.

"Bout time glowstick," He rolled his eyes and I smirked.

"Oh shush deathboy now, walk towards me slowly, don't panic either." I raised my eyebrows at the 'don't panic' part but if he knows what he's doing I guess there isn't a reason to panic, he is a healer after all. I walk slowly towards him from the treeline and my I find my heart skipping a beat and my breathing stops.

"Wow..."

I meant it too. It was breathtaking. I walked towards Will slowly eyes wide trying to take it all in. Hundred of silver floating dots slowly made their way into the sky around the field, I look down and see tiny creatures crawling out of the buds in the flowers. My eyes look up once again and I see them all around me, dancing with fancy spins and twirls, to a music only they seemed to hear.

"They're lunar daemons," I freeze realising I arrived in the middle of the field without noticing it. "Some sort of moon spirit according to Annabeth, kinda like a nymph," he watched as Will looked around at the tiny spirits performance, his face not holding its usual beaming smile, he looked happy nonetheless. It kinda surprised me, it was as if he had just taken off a mask, his face was finally readable and the only emotion that was there was the one he wears like a mask. He reminds me of someone. He reminds you of yourself... I look away and take in the big picture. The spirits have all paired up and are dancing around each other, like a fairy waltz in a children's book, elegant and classy with fancy steps that I could never even dream of doing if I hadn't grown up in another era. It's memorising watching the dots of silver light slowly float around, like stars made just for us to see, lighting up the field making shadows dancing along with the spirits. I turn my attention back to the brightest light in the field. Will was swaying on his feet. I panic and go to reach out to him but I stop.

Humming. He's swaying along to the beat of the spirits and humming, softly almost as if he's scared to use his voice, his eyes following the dancers memorising their every step. I smile softly and hum along quietly following his rhythm. I see him break out of his trance and glance back at me, his eye's filled with a peaceful light and something else, he smiles, turns back and continues humming. The dancing seems to go from extreme and flashy to calmer with less dizzying spins. The dance continues to slow down following the tune of the blonde boy's song. His swaying continues, afraid that the music isn't the only thing affecting it, I make my way towards him and sit down in the centre and wait for him to join me. He flops down next to me and lays down on his back looking at the stars and the spirits. I join him so we are on the opposite sides with our heads almost touching, watching the spirits dance their hearts away. I've never been a real nature person, but I can see why Will loves it here. The spirits slow down and just float gracefully in the air.
