It was a cool and breezy evening. A strong, icy breeze of wind blew against my face as I got out of the taxi. Anytime, the rain will pour. I hurried to get inside the house, but I was astonished when I heard a familiar voice talking from the living room. I slowly step inside, not making any noise until I reach the stairs that connect to the second floor.

"I don't care about you anymore, Elio. Im done dealing with all your mess! Let's get a divorce—"

As I slammed my room door shut, I didn't hear what Mama said next. I don't want to hear it.

I put my bag, laptop, and books on the velvet-pink small couch and threw my body on the bed. I stared at the mini chandelier hanging from the ceiling for a long time.

"Heres my number. Text me at what exact time we should go tomorrow night and... the location of your house, so that I know where to pick you up."

I came back to my senses when I realized Id been smiling for too long.

"Oh, yeah. His card" I immediately got up from bed and sat on the couch. I took my bag and put it on my lap. I looked for the card he gave me, and I immediately found it.

I stared at it for a moment before I took my phone out of my pocket. I saved his number in my contacts and went to messages.

To: Atty. William Kaiser:

Hi, this is Eloise.

I bit my lower lip and immediately erased it.

To: Atty. William Kaiser:

This is Eloise Dyson. Is this Atty. Kaiser's number?

I read it again and again before sending it. I groaned and erased it again because it sounded too stupid.

To: Atty. William Kaiser:

Good evening, William. This is Eloise.

I suddenly taste blood and realize that my lower lip is now bleeding because of my hard biting. I tightly closed my eyes before erasing it again.

"Ugh! Why is it so hard to message him? It makes me crazy!" I shouted and threw the phone on the bed.

I picked up my Ipad and searched for William's name in my social media apps. I don't know this man. I don't have any idea if he is serious about our agreement. I'm losing hope because no account comes up when I search for his name.

"¡Por qué su cuenta es tan difícil de encontrar!"( why is your account so hard to find?) I shouted in frustration.

I went to my Instagram account and suddenly paused when I saw Kylas account. Maybe William has an Instagram account and Kyla is following it. I immediately went to her feed and clicked the following.

Dios mío, shes following five hundred fifteen accounts! How am I supposed to find Williams account when most of the people shes following are men?! I leaned against the backrest and laid my head on it before closing my eyes. I shouldn't agree to this agreement. It makes me insane.

I got up from my seat and went straight to the bathroom. I took off my scrub suit and turned on the faucet for my bathtub. When it was full, I added the ingredients to the bath water and soaked my body in warm water. It took me forty minutes before I finished taking a bath. I finally lied down on my bed, wearing my comfy silk white pajamas, and picked up my phone. It's already 11:14 p.m., and I'm starting to get hungry, so I decided to go downstairs and find something to eat.

The dining room lines a lengthy hallway with an onyx wet bar and wine display, has Spanish Oak floors, a double-height entryway, a wood-paneled ceiling, and is anchored by a glass waterfall to separate the state-of-the-art chef's kitchen from the adjacent open living room with a fireplace and sliding glass walls.
