Izuku ran. He didn't know where he was running to, or how long it had been. He just knew that if he stopped, he'd be recaptured.

He couldn't go back to that place.

His entire body was sore, from whatever the villains did or from running so long, he wasn't sure.

Everything was in ruins, he noted. Buildings collapsed, rubble on the streets, trees burning down. What could have caused this wreckage?

The only thing he could think of was a villain attack.

But All Might would've stopped them!

Except he didn't know that. He had been trapped in that awful place for who knows how long.

Izuku was starting to realize just how much he didn't know.

He wasn't paying attention, and ran into a boy. He fell down, hitting the hard ground with a thump. The boy had spiky red hair, similarly colored eyes, and a small scar on one eye.

He recognized the boy as Ejiro Kirishima, from the sports festival. He had a hardening quirk. He was 16, three years older than Izuku. (Yes I made Izuku younger.)

Izuku knew he was a hero student, but he was panicked and not thinking straight. He pushed himself backwards with his feet, before hitting a large piece of concrete.

Kirishima crouched down in front of him slowly, not wanting to scare the small boy further, "Hey, it's alright. I won't hurt ya." That seemed to calm him down slightly. He stopped shaking as much, at least. "Are you okay?"

"Y-yeah, I-I'm fine, n-now..." he said, although it was barely more than a whisper, and his voice was hoarse, "h-hurts to talk, th-though"

Kirishima nodded, "we should probably get you too some shelter, then we can take care of that"

He stood up, and held his hand out to the smaller boy, who hesitantly took it.

Kirishima then allowed the boy to wrap one arm around his neck, using Kirishima as support. He had been running on only adrenaline, and wasn't able too keep it up any longer.

He led him to the underground bunker, where heroes, hero students, and their families were hiding out, so the villains wouldn't find them.

He told the boy not too look, and punched in the password, opening a door just big enough for them to walk through.

"Wh-what i-is this p-place?" The green haired boy coughed out, suddenly nervous. Kirishima said "it's an underground bunker that heroes and hero students like me are hiding out. I don't think its very manly, but they won't listen."

That seemed to confuse the boy more, "w-why do you n-need t-to h-hide?"

Kirishima sighed, "villains. They killed All Might and took over the world.. we should be fighting back instead of just hiding like cowards! Thats not what heroes do!"

The smaller boy didn't respond, opting to just follow the red head down the flight of stairs and into the main room.

All eyes turned to the two. It was mainly class 1-A, Kirishima's class.

"Oi, Shitty Hair! Why are you carrying that random extra?! He could be a villain!!!" Yelled a certain explosive blond.

The green haired boy tensed up from the yelling, and shook his head violently.

"Calm down, Bakubro. He's in bad condition, he can't be a villain." Kirishima said.

Bakugou stood up and stomped over too them, grabbing the boy's hand. "Then why the hell does he have a Nomu mark?!" Bakugou growled, jabbing at the back of his hand with a finger.

And there it was, a red 'x' across the back of the green haired boy's hand.

Kirishima dropped the apparent Nomu in shock, who crawled backwards in fear.

"O-ow..."

How did I not notice? I just brought a Nomu in here and endangered everyone! That's not manly at all!

Everyone activated their quirks, causing the Nomu to shrink back in fear further.

Well, I guess this is how I die.. Izuku thought, his shaking becoming more intense. He knew he couldn't do anything, his entire body ached and he barely had enough energy left to stay awake, let alone defend himself.

Izuku wanted to sleep.

Maybe this is all just some crazy nightmare... and if I fall asleep, I'll wake up at home with mom!!

With that thought, he closed his eyes and fell asleep in an instant.

"D... did it just... pass out?" Asked Kaminari, sweatdropping.

A soft snore from the Nomu answered that question.

Honestly, he was kind of adorable.

"I don't think he's a full on Nomu. I mean, he doesn't act like it." Kirishima said, "he was talking to me earlier, but I think his throat is sore."

They decided to put him in an extra room until he woke up, and deal with him then.

They left some food and water in the room as well, just in case.

Izuku groaned as he stretched his still sore body.

He looked around, and instantly realized that he was NOT in his bedroom. Although, it definitely was a bedroom, if the bed he was sitting on was any indication.

He noticed the nightstand besides the bed, which had a plate full of food, a water bottle, and a note. He decided to read the note first, in case it wasn't for him.

Hey. Since we figured out that your a Nomu, but you also seem responsive, we don't know what to do with you. For now, here's some food and water, if you want it.

Well, it must've been for him then.

He picked up the plate and water bottle, and inspected it closely. It seemed safe, and it was katsudon, his favorite.

Izuku hesitantly took a bite, before digging in. It was just so good, and the villains who were holding him captive hadn't fed him properly.

He then took a gulp of the water, being careful not to choke on it.

Then he heard a knocking on the door. Before he could respond, the door opened up, revealing Kirishima.

He shrunk back, memories of what had happened not all too long ago flowing into his mind.

"Hey, don't be scared. What happened back there wasn't very manly.." Kirishima said softly. "I'm Ejiro Kirishima, but you probably already knew that. What's your name?"

Izuku hesitated, before saying "I-I'm I-Izuku M-Midoryia.."

Kirishima nodded, and sat down on the bed next to him. "So, Midoryia, how would you feel about staying here, with us?" He asked, "at least, until we can find your parents."

Izuku's eyes lit up with joy, "yeah, I'd like that!.." then his smile turned into a frown, "but... I'm quirkless. Why would you want to let me stay with you guys?"

"That doesn't matter, bro! Besides, if your a Nomu, then you probably have some quirks now!" Kirishima said cheerfully.

He seems nice.. maybe we can be friends!
