Mystic falls, Klaus' Mansion
I missed you Nik." Khalida muffled on his chest. Hugging him closer than she think was possible, she subtly sniffed his neck. He smells amazing, a mix of whisky and woods.
They were never this close but after running in his arms when he came to fetch her, all her shyness is quickly forgotten.
He just tightened his grip on her, feeling his heart warm at her words and he can't deny that he missed her as well. Maybe too much. Since his mansion was nearly done with renovations, he ordered his hybrids to roam around the area to be familiar with it.
He cared little to none in what they would hear or see, he knew that they are well informed that one mistake with Khalida and they are done for.
"Tell me what happened during your stay in France, love." Klaus asked, tucking her hair that was brushing on her cheeks behind her ear.
His eyes gazing softly at hers,
it's like he is memorizing every little detail of her face. Khalida pulled away from his chest but remained on his lap, she wrapped her arms around his neck. Her eyes lit up as she began to tell him about her trip.
"I wish you were there with me." Khalida said looking down at her lap.
She can feel heat rushing to her cheeks, she never opened up to him when it comes to those kind of feelings.
"We can always come back, love. I will be the perfect tour guide." Klaus winked making her giggle.

Klaus watch as his hybrids work around the mansion for last errands before it's completely finished.
"You got your family back, finally." The hybrid, Daniel said as he moved the last coffin in. "You gonna open them?" He asked looking at Klaus.
"Not quite yet." Klaus answered, his eyes looking toward the living room, this time with concern filling them. He moved toward the doorway as he spoke, turning to look at Daniel, who began to follow him. "I still have some unfinished business to take care of."
Daniel raised a brow. "What business?" He asked.
As Klaus opened his mouth to answer, Daniel let out a sharp gasp as he squirmed in pain, his body desiccating as it dropped in a heap to the ground .
The Original hybrid stared in shock, as his eyes locked with who stood behind the body, Daniel's bloody heart in their hand.
"So, Niklaus..."
Klaus' mouth hung open slightly, freezing on the spot as he stared at his older brother, undaggered standing in front of him.
"Elijah." He stated in shock.
Elijah looked at his brother, an unnervingly calm look on his face, as he dropped the heart to the ground and stepped forward.
"What did I miss?" He pulled a handkerchief from his jacket pocket, wiping the blood from his hand as he noted his expression. "You look surprised to see me. So it wasn't you that removed the dagger from my chest?"
"You look like you could do with a drink." Klaus said calmly after a moment, nerves laced throughout his tone. "And we have a lot to discuss, so shall we?" He gestured towards the living room.
Elijah said nothing as he sped forward, clenching his fist and punching him across the face throwing him backwards. Klaus groaned slightly, as he crashed through a set of double doors, hitting the floor with a thud.
"Easy! I just finished renovating!" Klaus hissed before speeding towards Elijah and punching him back before completely throwing his brother on the floor smashing a furniture beneath him.
"You know you have every right to be mad at me but I kept my word I reunited you with our family." He said wiping his lips.
Elijah advances towards him and punch him landing blow after blow, Klaus bumped into one of the coffins and immediately opening the lid hastily pulling the dagger out of Kol's chest.
He sped towards Elijah holding his brothers neck in a tight grip with the dagger in his right hand.
"Don't make me do this again to you again Elijah!" Klaus threatened.
"Go on, use it. I dare you, you'll have Kol to deal with." Elijah taunted. Tightly gripping his wrist that was wrapped around his neck.
The brothers stare at each other, until Klaus finally broke the silence between them.
"Mikael is dead." He said as he let go of his grip on Elijah's throat, slowly putting down his hand that has the dagger.
"What did you say?" Elijah breathed, giving Niklaus a look of disbelief.
"I killed him, with his own weapon. He's gone Elijah, forever." Klaus stated.
"Then why do our family remain in these coffins? Finn for over 900 years, Kol for over a century." He snarled.
"Because of Stefan Salvatore, he holds the one thing that's keeping me from freeing them."
Before he can say anything more someone called him.
"Nik?"
Elijah immediately turn to see who called his brother.
It's her
Both brothers froze at the sight of her, Klaus because he didn't think she would be back so soon and for some reason it irked him that she seemed to know his brother.
The last thing he wanted is for her to be used against him and knowing his brother, after he daggered him, he will no doubt do something to get him back.
Elijah because finally, he saw the girl that kept his brother's eyes, for a long time.
The girl he saw a few years ago when he visited his brother. Only this time she's a grown young lady, a beautiful one at that but what caught his eyes are hers.
Their color so unique, in all his years on earth he has never seen one like those.
Suddenly the girl gasped.
"It's you." She exhaled. Her eyes solely focused on Elijah.
Elijah, for the first time did not have any response but Klaus clenched his jaw.
