Leo {30 minutes earlier} I had fallen asleep with my laptop in front of me, the diamond on the screen when I got a call. I flinched awake, looking down at my phone at the no caller ID.
"What? Is it your girlfriend now?" Tobey teased from the opposite end of the couch.
I scoffed, "I don't have one." I grabbed the phone pressing answer and placing it on my ear.
"Hello?" I asked.
"The deadline is up Leo." The man on the opposite end of the call said. I sat up, realizing who's voice this is.
It was Kevin, a guy who I owed money to a while back and promised to repay him... which I lied. I have no intention to pay him back. I mean, it's not like I'm gonna see him again.
"If you don't-" I hung up, throwing the phone over my shoulder.
"Who was it?" Tobey asked.
I shrugged, "Wrong number."
I tapped my finger on my laptop while thinking my eyes landing on the diamond. It wouldn't hurt to have a diamond like that... - Violet {Recent} "Do you want to come over to my place?" Leo asked.
I stared at Leo, not knowing what to say.
He smiled, nudging me slightly, "I'm joking, Violet."
I sighed, feeling a bit disappointed. I had no where to stay or go...
Leo scanned my expression, before leaning down and taking off his shoes. I raised my eyebrows as he placed them in front of me.
"This is the last time. And I want them back when I drop you off at a hotel." He eyed me.
I placed them on my feet slowly, "What's a hotel?" I asked him.
He sighed, "You don't know what a hotel is?"
I shook my head cluelessly. He sighed, motioning towards the shoes. I slowly slid them on.
"Do you live under a rock or something?" He grabbed my arm once my shoes were on, pulling me under the umbrella with him. I raised my eyebrows towards him surprisingly. He smiled down towards me, his hand wrapped around my arm closely. I've never seen a person this close before. My eyes scanned his face.

"Let's go." He urged, snapping me out of my thoughts while motioning to start walking. I nodded, walking beside him.
"Violet." Leo spoke after a few minutes of walking.
I looked up, "Yeah?"
He looked over at my curiously, "What do you do for a living?"
"I don't remember." I answered without thinking, looking over towards the store lights around us.
