"(F/N)!! WATCH YOUR LEFT!!" Levi shouted at you. You looked to your left and just in time as well. You quickly dodged the hand of a titan before it could hit you. You perched on a tree branch and Levi landed next to you. He said,"That was too close (f/n). You'll get killed if you don't watch yourself."

"Levi I'm gonna be fine." You said, walking up to him. Despite him being one of the shortest people in the Survey Corps, he was taller than you. Just by an inch. He looked down at you and he said quietly,"Be careful out there (f/n). I don't want you to get hurt."

"I promise I'll stay as safe as possible." You said. Levi sighed and he kissed your forehead gently.

You and Levi had been together for almost two years and within that span of time, you've only faced near death once. That experience made Levi quite cautious about you going on expeditions.

Levi hopped off the tree branch and spun around a 5-meter titan. He gave you a glance and you knew what he meant. You shot the wires of you ODM gear towards a distant tree and you took off. You sliced at the titan, grabbing its attention. It followed as you flew towards the tree, giving Levi the opportunity to get near the nape of its neck. You looked back and you noticed that the titan's attention averted to Levi. You were about to scream for him to get out of there, but it was too late. The titan hit Levi out of the air, sending him falling to the ground. You exclaimed,"Levi!!"

Luckily, Hanji and her squad happened to be in the area. Hanji yelled at you,"We'll take care of it! Go get Levi!"

You nodded as Hanji's squad took down the titan. You landed on the ground and you ran to Levi's side. Tears were streaming down your face. You said,"C'mon Levi...don't give up on me!! Please don't die!"

"(F/N)...I love you." Levi said weakly. You shook your head and you cried,"No you can't leave...please no! Levi no please...I love you..."

It had been four months since Levi had died. Humanity's strongest soldier had died, taking a part of his loved one's heart with him. You had been depressed and secluded since. You were curled up on the bed that you and Levi had previously shared, crying silently. Someone knocked on the door and you heard Krista ask,"(F/n)? Are you in there?"

"Clearly she is! She hasn't left her room since Levi died." A voice that sounded like Jean's told Krista. A sob escaped your lips at the mention of Levi's name. Krista said,"(F/n) I'm coming in."

The door opened and Krista came in. She sighed and she approached the bed. She asked,"You wanna talk about it?"

You shook your head, burying your face in your pillows. All that would come from your mouth were sobs. Krista gently rubbed your back and she whispered,"Shh. It's okay (f/n). I'm sure he wouldn't want you to be like this. Especially because he was so stoic and expected a lot from you. You're humanity's strongest soldier right now...we need you."

You hiccuped and you slowly sat up. You wiped your face with the sleeve of the shirt you were wearing. It took you a while to calm your breathing, but when you did you said,"I...I just really miss him, Krista. I loved him."

"I know (f/n)...I know. I bet he loved you too, but I doubt he'd want to see you like this. Knowing the Captain, he'd want you to keeping moving. He would tell you to stay strong." She explained. You nodded and hiccuped again. Krista stood and she said,"Let's get you cleaned up."

She helped you clean your face and she also helped you fix your hair. When you looked like you normally would, she handed you your Scout Regiment jacket. You left the top few buttons of the shirt you had on unbuttoned, because usually Levi would have a cravat on. You set your jacket down on the bed and you pulled on your boots. Krista opened the door and you both walked out. She stayed by your side as you walked to the mess hall. You sighed before you opened the doors, causing everyone's attention to fly to you. A silence fell as you walked towards your seat which was next to Levi's old seat. Krista sat in her seat and you sat in yours. Everyone was silent for a minute until Hanji spoke up,"So...how are you, (f/n)?"

"I'm...okay I guess." You responded, glancing at the empty chair next to you. Erwin said to you,"(F/n), due to the incident, I need to speak with you when you are available."

"Got it. Oh, and where's Kirschtein?" You asked. Erwin responded,"Out in the stables. Would you like one of the cadets to go get him, Captain?"

You sat in the office which was previously where Levi sat for long nights to do paperwork. You skimmed through the papers and you sighed. Since Commander Erwin deemed you the new Captain, you had a lot of paperwork to catch up on. You started to get a bit more upbeat around the rest of the regiment, but you were still depressed when you were alone. As you did paperwork, it never occurred to you that maybe Levi was still with you. Unbeknownst to you, Levi was standing right next to you, watching as you did your work. He put a hand on your shoulder which cause a chill to run down your spine. You glanced around the room, but no one was there. Levi whispered,"Keep moving....become humanity's strongest."

Okay okay that was long and sounded sad when I read it.
