Neji's heart wouldn't stop racing. Now in the respite of his own room, he was more openly freaking out.

Having her so close. It was a thunderous amalgamation of emotions inside of him.

Neji, exasperated - put his head in his hands, trying to take slow, calm breaths.

He could still feel the sensation of her body against his.

Neji shook his head, as if trying to physically banish the thought.

"Neji?" he heard at his door. Great, it's Hanabi.

Neji took a moment to compose himself, before opening the door.

"Yes Hanabi-sama? Is there something I can do for you."

Hanabi grinned, in a way that unsettled Neji. "I was taking a stroll - and I could see your heart was racing! I thought you were in danger."

Taking a stroll? The Branch family quarters are far from any of the places the Main branch reside.

It was obvious Hanabi was lying.

Hanabi took the leisure to enter Neji's room. Whilst, there was nothing Neji could do..

"It's rather unbecoming of you to enter a mans quarters, especially at night." Neji crossed his arms.

"I'm checking for danger! Your heart is still far above normal Neji-kun." Hanabi walked around, Neji's room was rather plain. He had always focused his youth on training and had little need for trinkets or things that weren't essential.

Whereas Hinata-sama's room was filled with cute objects and small paraphernalia... Hinata-sama. Neji felt a blush tint his cheeks.

"Whats this? Have you come down with a cold?" Hanabi asked wryly. Neji felt Hanabi's mistrust of him.

"I am simply tired.. Hanabi-sama if there is nothing I can do for you, I ask you leave as I would like to rest."

Hanabi paused, putting her finger on her chin, as if to ponder this for a moment.

"Hmmm." she closed her eyes concentrating.

"You know, I saw something weird today." Neji remained his composure.

"Hanabi-sama, I really am feeling tired.." he tired to dismiss what she was saying.

"I saw a snake, about to eat a baby bird." Hanabi continued, taking no mind to Neji.

"The snake had wrapped itself all around the baby bird, I saw it just in time - before I was pulled back to training." she giggled.

"How fascinating. I really must rest now." Neji said.

Hanabi's expression turned dark.

"If you ever lay a hand on Hinata Nee-san," Neji's sensed pricked and he instinctively dodged the Kunai Hanabi threw at him. It was buried in the door only centimeters where Neji's face once was.

Hanabi, grabbed her Kunai - the handle of which was wrapped with a pink ribbon and dashed out of Neji's room.

Neji sighed, closing the door behind him, he fell onto his bed.

What  am I to do?

Hinata blushed, thought of what happened and blushed some more.

"H-how embarrassing.." she buried her head into her pillow.

Neji saw me cry. - As well as her sleeping on top of him! How shameless.

Her cheeks burned once more. She wrapped her arms around herself, trying to process.

It was embarrassing, so much so she might die. But it felt so.. safe.

Being in Neji's arms, she felt as if nothing would be able to hurt her. How she missed Neji.

The one she used to play with, the one that hadn't become so twisted by hatred. She shuddered when she thought back to her first Chunin exam.

Hinata resolved herself. Now was not the time to be wavering about. She had training to do, in a week she, Kiba and Shino would be taking the Chunin exam again.

But so will Neji.

Hinata took a deep breath, and tried to sleep/
