Hinata's rage

What was revealed to Neji was Hinata-sama, sweet, shy - stutters and blushes at the drop of a hat Hinata - with Hanabi in a firm headlock. He didn't even have time to process his shock before he felt his body spring into action.

"Hinata-sama!" In an instant Neji was between them, Hinata was surprisingly strong - considering it was her dear baby sister so she was so aggressively manhandling.

"Hinata-sama.. Hanabi-sama.. what on earth happened?" he had both his hands on Hinata's shoulders, he could feel her swaying.

Oh kami-sama.. of course she's drunk again.

Hanabi, who was rubbing her neck - there was a definite blush to her cheeks that was not normally there. "Well.. we had a small.. disagreement." she said between her gasping for breath.

It was a small tea room they were in, more ornate wall hangings adorned the room - there was a small table amidst two luxurious couches, one of which Hanabi had now collapsed on. Her hand, reaching for one of three beautifully decorated glasses. Everything in this house screams opulence.

Neji narrowed his eyes as he watched her drink. There was an unlabelled unopened glass bottle on the table, as well as a couple more - already opened.

Wine?

Neji Gently sat Hinata down on the opposite couch, her already low cut yuukata was slipping - but he had no time to fix it as as soon as Hinata was stable he was across the table grabbing the glass that Hanabi was drinking out of her hand.

"You're too young to drink. And you've already had enough." Neji crossed his arms.

Hanabi shot him a dirty look. "Don't...make me.." her words were slurred, but there was a threat in them - she narrowed her eyes. Neji was about to brace himself for the unbearable searing pain.

"Hinata was over straddling Hanabi. "I'd like to see you try!" she pined both her arms down, Hanabi fought back.

Neji shook his head, part of him in utter disbelief to what was happening. The last time they fought would have been.. But it was his job to stop it. Hinata, drunkenly sensing his intention - simply picked Hanabi up and threw her against the wall - giving Hanabi an out to reposition herself and Hinata time to pick up a defensive stance against Neji - her Byakugan.

Hanabi was as well, the three of them were in a standoff. Hanabi was in the far left corner, Hinata was standing on the couch Hanabi was once sitting in and Neji was but a few steps away from Hinata - all of them had their hands in the standard Gentle fist stance - ready for battle.

"Hinata-sama.. What happened here? I don't want to spar.. and it's not wise for us to practice now when we have our spar against the twins tomorrow.." he tried to speak calmly as he stepped towards her slowly.

"I.. you don't understand!" Hinata turned to Hanabi. "It's you."

Neji, still slowly inching closer to Hinata - was taken aback. He'd seen Hinata drunk before.. she was not  this aggressive. It must of been something in the stupid "game" sake.

Hanabi's eyes narrowed. "This is not my fault! You already knew! I bet you did too.." Her gaze switched to Neji's."

Neji tried to cut in, "Please.. Hanabi-sama, what are you talk-"

"We're getting married?" Hanabi barely croaked out, the rage of her voice seeping in. "This whole trip! It's to get that stupid old man on our side so he'll help convince those other old geezers that its a good idea to get unite us and get rid of the branch family?"

Neji froze. How did she know.

"Hanabi-sama listen-"

"She was obviously lying!" Hinata cut in, suddenly lunging at Hanabi. They began sparring, considering how drunk both of them were.. it was a sight to see.

It definitely was not the time, but Neji couldn't help but feel proud at Hinata's hand to hand, their training in recent months was showing.

But even that, won't compare to the years of training Hanabi received. Neji got ready to step in, but instead felt a slight searing pain that bought him to his knees.

"Don't interfere with this Neji!" Hanabi yelled.

"Stop it! Why are you treating him like this.." Hinata cried back. Neji was clutching his forhead, slowly bringing himself to stand.

"It's HIS  fault! Why.." Hanabi stopped, grabbing Hinata's arms.

Hanabi began to cry. "You couldn't even keep up with me as kids.. Onee-sama.. A few months of training, and you being uninhibited by your shyness drunk and you'd win." there was something about seeing her cry that made Hinata stop.

"It's.. so unfair.. I know  you're stronger than me. I know. This should have been you! THIS ALL SHOULD HAVE BEEN YOU."

Hanabi turned away, soft sobs came from her as her shoulders heaved.

"Imouto.." Hinata reached out, giving Hanabi a hug from behind."

For reference, Neji was still doing his best not to writher in pain on the ground, although the small part of him that was forcing himself to remain conscious was glad the situation seemed to be improving.

"Do you know why father hates you? It's because he knows  your Byakugan is the strongest and that you have the most potential." Hanabi sobbed, she trailed off.

"OH GOD I DON'T WANNA MARRY NEJI." she sobbed intensely.

Neji was finally coming to, Well, thanks I guess.

"Hanabi-sama, please its not quite as simple as this. For starters - nothing is confirmed, secondly this is so much bigger than us."

"I've never been to the academy! Because father makes me train. I've never  had a day off! Because I am always training. I don't have any friends! Because why would I need them! I'm the next clan leader.. everything I do is for the clan.. and so now, I must even give up my chance of ever finding love for the clan too? What else can they can take from me.." she weeped.

Hinata was holding her as she cried into her chest, a vast change from earlier.

The shock seemed to have sobered Hinata up somewhat.

"Haruko popped in.. reminded us that you and Hanabi should get preparing your plan for tomorrow. It will be a doubles fight." she mumbled.

"Apparently, if you win - Hoheto will back your.. m-marriage."
