-The ambiance was light. Decore inside the restaurant was dim and modern. The accessories hanging around the walls were traditional and picturesque. There were golden illuminations all along the wall and small pendant lamps right above the dining tables.
It was not much congested and that was something I felt really lucky about. From the corner of my eyes, I saw Jungkook walking to the reception. I took a breath and followed his track. On the reception, I saw a petite girl in her mid-twenties maybe? I don't know but she looked young.
At the arrival of Jungkook in front of her, I saw his presence kind of swayed her. She immediately bowed down and a practiced smile covered her face.
" Welcome to restaurant TAJ. How many seatings would you like? "
Her voice was sweet and professional. Jungkook looked back at me and then her and signaled her a ' V ' sign indicating two people. She nodded her head and came out of the reception desk and told us to follow her track.
After walking a little, I saw she took us to the window sitting area which was kind of isolated and gave a sense of privacy. I raised brows in interest and looked at her. She looked back and a smile crept on her face.
" I thought some privacy would be better for a young couple. "
My eyes widened in surprise and I was going to disagree with the statement when Jungkook came in between and smirked at her.
" Appreciate your concerns. Thanks a lot. "
She professionally nodded her head and walked away from there. Jungkook held out the chair opposite to mine and sat there before sliding it in. For some reason I was just standing there, watching his actions. He noticed me and looked upwards with a raised brow.
" Aren't you going to sit? "
At his question, I came into reality and blinked my eyes before I awkwardly smiled.
" Oh- Yeah. Sorry. "
I slid the chair out and sat down in front of him. I was still kinda shaken by Jungkook's action. He didn't disagree with the receptionist when she thought of us as a couple. I looked up at him realising he was already staring at me.
" What? " I asked.
" You look distracted. What happened? " He replied with another question.
" Nothing. I was kind of surprised when you didn't disagree with that receptionist. "
I said with a quiet voice and a smirk crept on his symmetrical face. He slid his tongue out and ghost it over his lower lips.
" Did I make you nervous, Gargi? " He asked in a playful tone.
I put up a boring face and raised a brow. He laughed at my reaction and I realized this was the first time he ever had this sparkling face since the accident. I could see how his eyes turned into two crescent moons and there were wrinkles at the corner of his eyes.
