Human nature is something of an ugly and distorted complexion,
the acts of selflessness rare, yet still not sought out by many.
Compassion seizes to exist among the masses,
In it's stead - selfishness and the constant desire for more and never less take it's place.
I used to wonder,
Why?
Why are people so careless of the others around them? Everyone deserves love.
A bold statement,
but even Bolder for me to say; everyone deserves the illusion of love,
when in reality it is a warmth disguising the uncanny truth
Want.
I begin to feel as though love is unreal.
An artificial hoax, that feeds the idea of "more"
The more we are loved the more of a purpose we have,
If love is real, then it comes in the form of pure concentrated selflessness.
Yet my heart aches when i think of the;
Minority that practices this.
Then i realize the naivety of my age.
By no direct correlation, selflessness equals hurt,
that stinging disregard of your person.
Love has led to heartbreak,
Pain and never receiving what you put out into the universe,
because the act of selflessness is so fulfilling that you're willing to be the Bitch.
The lesser one,
The one who's so disgustingly stupid that they can't realize the person in front of them;
Clearly doesn't love them.
That is what selflessness does to you.
Human nature can no longer comprehend emotions beyond ego.
If it serves no purpose of snatching- a sliver of momentarily satisfaction,
then it is Never worth it.
I writhe in regret,
Envious of my childhood self,
The Most Pain I felt Back Then Was The Scraping Of My knees.
So simple, yet the only souvenir of those flawed days are the scars that
mar my Body.
The only message i leave with you is,
Be Selfless,
Human Nature,
Be Damned.
You serve,
The change,
The universe,
Craves.
Be Bold and fearless, life is only gifted once, wring it of it's sweet sap.
Then You'll see the horrors and endeavors of human nature.
