Marinette's P.O.V.

All Marinette could muster was a small 'thank you' to the driver as the cab pulled away.

Why was she so affected by a guy she just met? Sure, he was polite, and interesting, and multilingual, and handsome, with sharp features and dark... soft-looking hair, but what really put the bluenette down for the count was his eyes.

Marinette stepped onto the elevator, unable to remember calling it in the first place, and clicked on the button for the 6th floor.

They were like the deepest pools of jade, his eyes captivated her when they walked to the lobby not removing her gaze from them until she had to board the taxi. Those brilliantly opaque eyes spoke volumes, the first time Marinette saw them she could see his decisive and focused nature, he was sharp and cunning. His eyes projected a sense of authority that dared you to defy them.

Marinette sighed thinking about their conversation, at first he gave her fun facts about Wayne Enterprises but Marinette didn't just fawn over the boy's intense irises, no, she actively participated in the discussion while picking up on certain characteristics of his. While some might call him blunt, Marinette recognized it as honesty. He spoke of Wayne Enterprises fondly, and while commenting on the idiotic rampages of the three oldest Wayne wards his eyes swirled mischievously.

Over the next two days, Damian was a recurring thought of hers, which was both frustrating, because she had just met the guy, and refreshing. It was nice to have something else to think about besides whatever her friends prattled about or Lila's nonsense. Don't get her wrong she loved talking with her friends but Damian was... different in some way.

On day five of their trip, three days after Marinette and Damian met, Marinette found herself at one of Gotham's larger parks sitting against the trunk of a thick willow tree while sketching a few Gotham themed pieces. Her class had left her behind again so she decided to go to the park for the day.

Marinette was about halfway done with a robin themed hoodie, somehow making the traffic light theme work, when she heard a bark. At first, the barks didn't bother Marinette but she quickly realized they were rapidly getting not only more frequent but louder and closer. The bluenette looked up just soon enough to slide her sketchbook next to her when a black great Dane barreled onto her.

Marinette couldn't hold in her shocked gasp or uncontrollable giggles as the large dog licked her face repeatedly. The attack continued until a voice spoke,

"Titus! Come here, leave them alone. My apologies miss-"

The great Dane quickly obeyed with a wagging tail, once 'Titus' got off of her, Marinette was able to right herself still smiling from the surprise attack, not noticing that the owner had stopped in their tracks. Marinette was going to say goodbye to the sweet dog but she realized she had recognized the voice that called 'Titus'. To confirm her suspicion Marinette looked up to see two familiar sparkling green eyes staring back at her.

Marinette was shocked to say the least, sure, she had hoped to see Damian again before she left home to Paris but she did NOT think she would see him so soon. It hadn't even been three days! And now Marinette was on the floor covered in dog slobber staring up at a pristine looking Damian in a form-fitting turtleneck and pants with combed hair and a shocked expression smeared across his face before he pinked ever so slightly.

The same could not be said for Marinette whose eye's went wide in recognition, quickly trying to recover from her embarrassment she shot up and started as she shifted her weight from foot to foot,

"Oh, my goodness Damian! I didn't think I'd see you again so soon! And Who Is This Cutie!!!" Marinette's accent thickening with every word as she excitement grew until she couldn't help herself and went to give the great Dane more attention.
