Chapter 5
I walked out to the living room and found my pack socializing with each other, I smiled at that. I love my pack.
Everyone was so happy and carefree I hated to mess with this awesome balance; I sighed and called the pack to meeting.
“All right everyone, I know you’re wondering why I called you here well……” I said, hesitating to tell the smiling pack the bad news and plus I wasn’t sure how Charm would react, I haven’t told her yet. My pack can be sweet and caring but bloodthirsty when they want to be. They are genuinely wonderful people but when it comes to their Alpha, Beta, and mates. If something happens to them they go ape. I shudder to think what they would do to me if I were the enemy.
“I got a call from the Broken Shadow Pack” I had just said the name when Charm appeared by my side and growled, I got a similar reaction from my pack. They all growled and tensed but they continued to listen in silence. “They need help and have requested our help and as you all know what they have done to me but you also know that the council also said that because they allowed us to make this pack that we must help. No questions or we will be terminated.”
Charm roared and I received sounds of protest came from my pack; I held up my hand and immediately got the silence I asked for, “I will be taking the entire pack will me, because as you know we are a family and families stick together no madder what, Right?”
“Right!” was the reply I got.
“Good I will brief you on what they called us for later.” I said “Now meet me in the dining room at 10:00 p.m. for dinner and you will be briefed.”
Murmurs of agreement came from the pack, and they shuffled away to prepare for dinner. I walked to my room, just as I sat down and started to go over the pack reports, when my door was busted into by my 5 best friends.
Ace, Nicholas, Trey, Ashley, and Holly. They are the group that has had the same experiences as me, they are also the first recruits and the ones I trained personally and they trained the rest of the pack.
Ace was the player of the group. He had the body of a god and dark brown hair that fell in his eyes, baby blue eyes with green flecks in them; he was about 6’1 and the arrogant attitude but sweet with the pack and the group. Nicholas is about 6 foot and a proud gay, and the funniest person that you will ever meet. We call him Nick and he has a god like body with strawberry blond hair and deep brown eyes with gold flecks in them to match. Trey was the quiet bookworm of the group; he reads all the time and only talks to the pack and the group. He’s shy but sweet; he has a body to drool for with a 6’2 frame and black hair, hazel eyes with blue flecks, and Nick’s partner in crime. Ashley is about 5’6 and long red hair, green eyes with violet flecks, and a fiery attitude to match her hair, we call her Ash. Holly has straight blond hair, grey eyes with bright green flecks, and is about 5’8. All of them are extremely protective of each other and most of all, me.
I’m about in the middle of them all, I’m 5’11, I have jet black hair with permanent red streaks, electrifying blue eyes with red flecks in them, and (as all the werewolf girls have) a perfect hourglass curvy body. My temper matched the red in my hair it even surpassed Ash’s temper, and that’s saying something!
I was again snapped from my thoughts by Nick waving his hand in front of my face. Charm came over and jumped on my lap, curled up in a ball and I started petting her.
“ARE YOU OKAY?!” was the first thing that came in contact with my ears. I winced and held my hand to my ear. And turned to glare at Ashley.
“You know I like my ear drums. And I’m not deaf!” I yelled at her.
“Sorry” said Ashley muttered, smiling sheepishly.
“Any way, are you all right chicka?” asked Holly
I sighed, I seem to be doing a lot of that lately, and “Yeah I’m fine. How are you?” I asked casually.
Holly gave me a flat look “Really? I’m doing fine, considering that my best friend is going back to the jerk that broke her heart! I’m peachy! I now have to watch my best friend go through the worst amount of pain any one was ever gone through!” she yelled at me.
“Wrong I will go through no pain remember me and my wolf blocked out the bond. Now I can’t even feel it if I tried my hardest!” I yelled back.
I bet your wondering what I was talking about, when I said I blocked out the bond. Well I got rejected before I shifted. So when I shifted my wolf had seen my whole life through my eyes and understood why I ran. She and me pushed the bond as thin as it would go, now we had been ignoring it for so long that we can’t even, hardly feel it.
“I just hope you’re strong enough to handle his presence.” said Holly.
My eyes darkened when she insulted my strength and power, I rose from my seat and stood tall “Are you insulting your Alpha?! You may be my Beta but NEVER forget that I’m your Alpha first! Got it?” I roared. I saw them all flinch and nod.
“Good.” I relaxed and looked at the time and realized we had to attend dinner in, like, now.
“Let’s go guys. Dinner’s going to be ant minute.” They all agreed and Holly apologized to me for insulting my Alpha power.
“S’okay.” I told her and walked into the dining room.
