   Chapter 7

Hunter

It’s been 2 whole years since Amber left and I’ve gone way downhill. I sleep around more, trying to numb the pain; I barely eat, sleep, or talk. I’m snappy all the time and I don’t care anymore. God I sound like a girl!

We’ve been attacked several hunter’s and rouges, so much that I had to request the help of the Blood Star pack. The Blood Star pack is the most vicious pack out there. They would kill you on the spot, if you even looked at them wrong. I didn’t want to, but I needed their training.

Then the doorbell rang. I got up off the couch and Molly, my Alpha Female or Luna, came over and grabbed my arm. I sauntered to the door and opened it.

Standing in front of me was a girl almost as tall as me! Now that’s saying something because I’m 6’4. This girl was at least 5’8.

“Hello my name is Holly Star and I am Alpha of the Blood Star pack. You requested our services?” she said.

“Yes we have. My name is Hunter Moon, I’m Alpha of the Broken Shadows pack.” I responded.

“Well my pack is very tired. We would like to rest and recover from our journey. But first we must hold a pack meeting. Call your whole pack.” She demanded.

I called a pack meeting immediately. Why you ask? That girl on my doorstep, Holly, scared me. I mean image a scary looked women show up on your doorstep with a whole 70 member pack that looked like they would kill you if you even looked at them wrong. I shivered to think what they could do.

When the pack had assembled in the living room and Holly stood In front of them with her pack around the edges of the room she spoke,

“Hello everyone I’m am Beta and temporary Alpha of the Blood Star pack and as soon as my Alpha arrives she and me will be the only ones you will report to get it?” she turned to me as she said the part about reporting to her and the Alpha.

“Who is your Alpha?” I questioned.

She smirked and said, “You’ll see tomorrow at school.”

And with that she demanded to be brought to the house they were staying. As I left them and went to my room, I tried to talk to my wolf he just ignored me and didn’t say a word, just like he has been doing for the last 2 years since I rejected Amber.
