"They're here." Sosuke said putting his book down. I nodded and followed him out of the library. We walked to the Seijotokyorin- the residences of the Central 46. Sosuke paused,
"Look behind you."
he stepped forward smiling, I did not follow. There was a surprised gasp, "Captain Aizen.." I recognized the second voice as Momo's.
"I've missed seeing you Momo." He says
"I don't believe it, all this time I thought you were dead."
Sosuke had not moved at all, waiting for Momo to walk towards him, which she did. "I know you did, and I'm sorry for that."
"I thought that..." She grabbed Sosuke's uniform tears forming in her eyes and spilling down her cheeks "I didn't know what to think."
I couldn't see Sosuke's face from where I was standing but I could assume that he was smiling, looking slightly apologetic, while not really being sorry at all. "I'm sorry." He said "I can see that I've caused you a lot of pain."
At that I couldn't help but feel a little pitty for Momo- the poor girl didn't know what she had walked into.
Soon the only sound was Momo's soft, muffled sobs.
"I'm sorry Momo, I'm sorry that my actions caused you so much pain. But you understand don't you Momo?" He sounded devious, even to me, it was truly a wonder how Momo didn't realize. "You're the only one who could understand. There was a task that needed to be handled."
"It's all right." I could practically feel the joy and relief in her voice "Everything's alright. None of it matters anymore, as long as you're alive and back home."
"Thank you Momo."
I crossed my arms and leaned against the wall, some strange feeling burning in my chest and making my blood boil. I tapped my foot noiselessly against the ground, impatiently waiting for this farce to be over.
"I'm lucky to have a subordinate like you. From the bottom of my heart, thank you." He said "And goodbye."
I heard the familiar sound of blood splattering, "W-what have you done?" Came the now shaky voice of Momo "Why?"
And then the thump of her body hitting the floor. "Let's go Gin." Not long after both Aizen and Gin emerged, I moved into step next to them. "She's not dead." I said
"She will be soon." Sosuke responded.
"If nobody comes that is." Gin added.
Both Gin and Sosuke were smiling. We hadn't made it far before an out-of-breath Toshiro Hitsugaya skidded to a stop in front of us. Aizen raised a hand as though he hadn't just come back from the grave to these people, "Hey Toshiro."
His eyes widened "W-what is this?!" He straightened "Captain Aizen! Are you alive or is this some trick?!"
"It's really me Toshiro." Aizen turned to Gin "He's returned sooner than we expected."
"Sorry, Izuru must not have been able to keep him occupied." Gin replied sounding not-at-all-apologetic.
"What's going on here, what are you talking about?!" Toshiro took up a defensive stance.
"Nothing really, just the finer points of strategy, breaking down of an enemy's power level to be specific." Sosuke responded casually.
"Enemy huh?" His eyes darted around as though searching for somebody else "Where's Momo?"
"That's a good question."
I stepped aside, tilting my head slightly in the direction we had come from. Toshiro dashed through the two captains faster than I've ever seen him move before. Sosuke turned to look back at him, his expression frighteningly neutral,
