(CHANEL,16)
~Chanel's POV~
"CHANEL, CHANEL," my mom calls from downstairs. Ughhh. I pull my pillow over my head. "CHANEL, IF YOU DON'T GET YOUR BLACK BEHIND UP," my mom yells. Damn, why she gotta be so annoying. "I'M UP MA," I yell back and get out of bed to get dressed.Today is the first day of 11th grade and DeVonte a.k.a. De a.k.a. my best friend, is driving us to school. I get my car back in two weeks because it's in the repair shop. I thank my stupid a** step-sister for that. 4 weeks ago, she took my car without permission and slightly rear ended somebody's car but enough to cause damage. Stupid.
"CHANEL," my mom calls. "Momma, I'm up," I say walking downstairs.
"Hurry up and get dressed. You don't needa keep De waiting today," she says. "Okay ma," I roll my eyes and get some cereal to eat. "Chanel Diana Walker, watch your damn attitude fo' I pop your head off," my mom sarcastically smiles.
"Yes ma'am," I laugh and say sarcastically.
"Hurry up and get yo' a** upstairs to get dressed," she says. I finish up eating my cereal and go upstairs to shower and get dressed. I'm not gonna lie, my outfit is hella cute. My nails match my outfit too. One thing I love about high school is that they are not as strict on dress codes.
~DeVonte's POV~
I pull up to Chanel's house a.k.a. Nel. We gave each other nicknames in 5th grade and ever since, that's what we've called each other. I go to her front door and knock on it."Good morning Aunt Chelle," I say to her mom as she opens the door. "Hey baby. I don't know why your little bestie is taking so long," she laughs and pulls me in for a hug. Over these years, Nel and I both have gotten closer with each other's mom; also they're really good friends like best friends actually. I love Michelle like my own mother.
"CHANEL, YOUR RIDE IS HERE," her mom yells. I see her coming downstairs and my jaw almost drops. I have to remind myself that I'm still in front of her and her mom.
Yesterday we planned, that we were going to wear the same color. Wow, she's fine asl and her skirt hugs her curves even more. "Don't you think that outfit is a little too non appropriate for school," her mom sarcastically says. I've come to learn that they use sarcasm a lot in this household.
"Ma, it's fine. I'm looking cute for myself, please and thank you very much," she says. Her sassy attitude makes her even more attractive. I've liked my best friend since 8th grade but she doesn't know. "And look at you Mr. Brown looking all fine and shi-," Nel starts saying to me but her mom says, "watch your mouth, please and thank you very much," mocking Nel. I smile because my best friend just called me fine. She always says that I'm fine but if only she knew how it makes me fall for her more.
"Let's get our first day started," Nel grabs my wrist and we leave. "Later Aunt Chelle," I say looking back at her mom. She rolls her eyes, smiles, and waves at us. "Enjoy your day," she yells to us as we get to the car. I pull out of their driveway. "Let's get this day started," I think to myself.
