~Chanel's POV~ What I've learned from doing my project with Elijah is that you do all the work yourself. Two months ago was the first and last time I would ever work with Elijah on a project. From what I've heard, De is dating Jayla now. What is that about?
"Hey baby," Elijah says, coming up from behind me. I say hey and smile. Elijah and I's relationship has been great so far. He's loyal, he always makes me smile, and he is always there for me; unlike my so called friends. They barely talk to me anymore but it's fine because I have Elijah.
My first two classes are finally over and it's time for lunch. Thank God, Elijah has the same lunch period as me because I don't eat lunch with Jasmine anymore.
○FLASHBACK, 1 MONTH AGO○ "Chanel," Jasmine said as we were walking to my car. I couldn't ride with Elijah because he had to run an errand after school.
"Hey girrrl," Amiya yelled from her car. I yelled hey back and waved.
"Have you noticed that Amiya's been hanging out with you more now that you're dating Elijah. Like she always wants to know what happens in your relationship and always wants to hang out with you guys," Jasmine said.
"So you tryna say she a third wheel snake," I eyed Jasmine. I swear all of my "friends" started switching up as soon as I started dating Elijah. To be honest, Amiya and I have been vibing and becoming close.
"It's not that Cha-," Jasmine started but I cut her off, "First of all, I'm sorry that she's being a real friend and interested in my relationship. Obviously you and your little boyfriend and De don't know how to act now that I'm dating Elijah so yes it's nice to have somebody who cares," I finished.
"F*** you, Chanel. Have fun with your little 'real' friend and boyfriend," she rolled her eyes and walked away. ○END OF FLASHBACK○
"Come on bae, let's go get lunch from-," I cut Elijah off, "Chick-fil-A," I finish his sentence for him.
"Yeah, and Amiya will be joining us if that's fine," he says. "Of course," I say and see Amiya walking over to us. I hug her and we all walk out of the building. As I'm walking out the building, I feel eyes on me and as soon as I turn around I see DeVonte and Chris looking at me and talking.
See, here's the thing, DeVonte and I's relationship fell off over these past months. I honestly feel like it's his fault and he's still my best friend and all in my opinion but we rarely talk.
~DeVonte's POV~ Earlier on today, seeing Chanel and her "new friends", was really a pain. She really abandoned her real day ones but we ain't crying over her; I hope she living her best life.
Today is Jayla's birthday and it's a Friday so we decided to go out with Chris and Jasmine and then go on our own private date tomorrow.
Yes, Jayla and I are dating; that's my babygirl and she's an awesome one too. I'm chilling at home right now but I gotta get ready to go to Jayla's house to pick her up.
"Yea, baby I'll be there in like an hour," I get off the phone with Jayla and get ready to hop in the shower. The fit of the evening was nothing too extreme because we're just going to the movies and arcade tonight.

I kiss my momma on her cheek and head out the door. A few moments later, I pull up to my baby's house and call her to come outside. She walks outside in this simple but beautiful fit and all I can think is damn, she fine.
She knocks on my window, bringing me out of my gaze. I unlock the car so she can get in. "Do I look that good? Out here drooling and s***," she laughs and kisses me.
"Girl I don't drool and yes you look good always," I say back and drive off. Jasmine and Chris are meeting us there.

When we get to the arcade, Jasmine and Chris are already playing basketball against each other.
"Boy you know I'll whoop yo a** in anything," Jamsine playfully says to Chris as their round ends. He grabs her by her waist so that he's face to face with her and says, "Do sum now."
"Ehem ehem, ever heard of a room," I say and they turn to us. "Ever heard of a mind your business," Jasmine says and Jayla laughs.
"Whatever, y'all tryna play laser tag?," I ask. They nod yes so we head over to the laser tag section ...
"Bro, that was fun we totally whooped their asses," Jayla and Jamsine talk.
"Whatever cuz you know we destroy y'all in that bed tho," Chris says. "Boy you wish," Jasmine rolls her eyes.
"I'm bouta go to the bathroom, I'll be back," I tell them and walk off. Before I could turn into the section of where the restroom doors were, I hear Elijah and somebody else talking; that doesn't sound like Nel. I peek my head around the wall and see ... AMIYA?
At first, I see his arms around her a** and him kissing her neck. Man, wtf. How can he do this to Nel? Elijah and Amiya start walking my way so I start walking towards my crew.
"Y'all let's go," I say to them. "What's up with you?," Chris jokes. I eye him and point towards Elijah and Amiya who are walking towards the basketball machine, while holding hands.
"Oh s***," Jasmine says and we all leave the arcade to head to the movies. Nel and I aren't on the best of terms right now but she's been my best friend forever and I gotta tell her. I text her and say
*Just saw Elijah and Amiya all over each other and Elijah was kissing on her neck. Nel he's cheating. Check who you hanging with*
