Fluff

Lux sighs looking out of the carriage, it was so boring. Boring boring boring, that's what she always thought. Her life in itself was boring, stay in Demacia and work all of the time. Go out, fake smile, and wave to the people. Easy, that's just her whole life. She was so deep in thought that she didn't realize that her carriage stopped, she looked around her. She was in the middle of the forest at night, on a path that was made from Demacian soldiers.

"AHHHHH!" An ear-piercing scream rang out through the night and Lux knew it was the man who was with her.

She gets out of the carriage after grabbing her staff, there was no light around here so she couldn't use it to her advantage. Lux walks around to the front of the carriage silently listening to her surroundings, the leaves were swaying and making too much sound to be able to hear an assassin's footsteps. Tonight was a perfect night to kill someone, it was dark and the moon was covered so it was extra dark. On top of that, it was a windy night that could cover up potential footsteps. She turns and sees the coachman dead, she doesn't look much farther but it seems that there are three large gashes on his chest, an animal had to do this.

"Wonder what animal could do that much damage in Demacia?" She says thinking out loud.

She walks around and the leaves continue to rustle, she makes a small amount of light in her hand and hears a light growl. She turns and throws a barrier on herself but all she sees is a guy holding a scythe and an animal's bloody body relaxing sprawled out on the ground.

"Who...?"

**Speech like this is Kayn talking to Zed**

"You better not introduce yourself for who you actually-"

"Shieda Kayn, but you can just call me Kayn," he heard zed groan loudly, "You're Lady Luxanna or Lady Crownguard, aren't you?"

Lux nods, "Yes, that's me. How do you know me? You don't look like you're from around here, are you?"

He smiles a bit, "Who doesn't know of the only mage allowed in Demacia? On top of that, you're..." he stops and clears his throat, "You're pretty and so a lot of people know who you are, plus the Prince wants to marry you."

Lux giggles, "I'm no beauty, but thank you." She thinks, "So where are you from then?"

The question catches him off guard, "I was born and raised in Noxus and after the Noxus Ionian war The Shadow Order ended up taking me in... specifically Zed."

"FOOL! You shouldn't tell people that! What if she uses that against you..." He kept talking, but Kayn just zoned him out.

Lux thinks, "So what business do you have here?"

"Honestly?" He smiles goofily, "I'm supposed to be gathering information about you."

"You really don't fear anything, don't you?" Her tone was calm but her words were cold, "Getting caught trying to gather intel about nobles in Demacia could end in execution."

He shrugs, "I know." He walks closer to her, he was almost a foot taller than her, "But the real thing is I know you're not going to report me for being here."

She caught herself smiling at the truth in that, she wanted something exciting. Being cooped up in Demacia all day was boring and any form of thrill and adventure was welcomed.

She finally decides on smiling, letting him in, "Fine, you caught me. I do want to have fun and do something else, Demacia is so set in stone that it's... boring."

"KAYN! Get out of there, boy! You better not-"

Kayn leaves zoning Zed out to Rhaast who would always talk smart around Zed.

"Hm? You're looking for fun?" Kayn's ears perked up, "Well, it's the middle of the night and you're all alone, wanna get out of here?"

Lux smiles, "Sure."

He holds his hand out, "Princess, I'm going to need you to suppress your light if you want to move fast."

She nods and grabs his hand gently, he squeezed her hand and she squeezed back smiling up at him. He summoned shadows under her to move her quickly and he ran through the forest, Lux giggled and watched the forest zoom past her. She inhaled and the shadows surrounded her comfortably, they were cold but it felt good. It was refreshing, and she sighed contentedly. He noticed this and smiled a bit.

They stop running and he looks down at her checking for cuts or bruises, "Are you alright, Princess?"

Lux nodded and he smiled, "Good."

She remains silent and he looks at her, "Are you alright?"

She shrugs, "If you wanted to kill me right here, especially since I suppressed my light."

He looks at her, his face very clearly showing his concern, "Are you sure you're alright? I hope you know I won't hurt you here... you have nothing to be afraid of."

Lux looks down at her feet and fiddles with her hair, "I'm just so used to people like-" she pauses and catches herself.

"People like me are always after you and your light?"

She nods, "Of course, people have already been trying to hunt me."

He steps closer to her and pulls her into his chest, "Do you want to go back home?"

"No, not yet. Can we sit down somewhere?"

He nods and brings her under a tree, he sits and she sits next to him, "Kayn?"

"Yes, Princess?"

She moves closer to him, he wraps his arms around her, "I'm sorry."

"For what?" He looks down at her, "You have nothing to be sorry for."

She mumbles something as she falls asleep. Kayn smiles and pulls her closer to him, she was so warm...

Zed, I'll come around tomorrow. I'm busy.

"ARE YOU FUCKING SERIOUS? Kayn you better get your ass back here!"

Eh, I'll see you tomorrow morning.

"Kayn-!"

Kayn sighs happily and kisses Lux's forehead, "Goodnight, Princess."
