it was almost 4 o'clock in the morning when taehyung woke up by a loud sound. he heard the rain loudly pouring outside and quickly covered his ears when he saw a bright light appearing and disappearing in less then a second. he knew it was a lightning, which'll get followed by thunder soon.

he hates this the most. waking up in the middle of the night because of a storm outside. he just always wishes to sleep again so that the thunder disappears and he can breath out.

'jungkook is right, i'm scared.'

jungkook... jungkook... "jungkook!" taehyung remembered that jungkook was here when he fell asleep.

he waited for the next thunder, so that he knows he has more time before the next one appears and then quickly left his room. he hoped for jungkook to still be there.

a relieved sigh left his lips when he found the younger sleeping on the couch. he quietly crouched next to him on his knees. "k-kookie?" he slowly shook jungkook's arm, the younger letting out a deep grown as his lips turned into an sleepy pout.

taehyung was scared, he knew that in a few seconds, there'll be the next thunder. "p-please wake u-up."

jungkook's eyes fluttered open, his eyes meeting taehyung's in the dark. "t-tae?"

"i'm sorry for waking you up... i c-can't sleep." taehyung turned his head away in shyness.

jungkook smiled softly. "why?"

*thunder

taehyung flinched, clutching jungkook's blanket, making the younger instantly understand him.

"don't be scared, i'm here." he sat up, patting the spot next to him for taehyung as he lifted the blanket.

taehyung thanked him and snuggled next to him. "can you maybe sleep next to me?"taehyung asked shyly, jungkook smiled. "here on the couch, or your bed?"

taehyung blushed, luckily the younger couldn't see it. "b-bed."

"okay." they got up, taehyung tightly holding onto jungkook's arm.

he gasped when a lightning lightened up the room. he took jungkook's hand and ran towards his room, dragging the younger with him. "wha tae-"

"there will be a thunder soon, please quick." he whined.

but jungkook stopped him, turning him back, making him crash against his chest. "close your eyes." despite that his heart was being about to jump out of his chest, taehyung closed his eyes. jungkook's arms were securely around taehyung, while the other's were loosely hanging besides him. he was breathing heavy, maybe because he was scared, but also maybe because of jungkook.

it's when the next thunder was heard and taehyung didn't even flinch, that jungkook smiled. "see, it isn't that bad."

taehyung looked up at jungkook. "thank you." he said quietly.

"let's go to sleep now, it's in the middle of the night." jungkook smiled. he would've rather hugged taehyung longer, but he knows the boy has school tomorrow.

"c-can i cuddle you? i can't sleep without hugging something or someone in sleep. i can also get a pillow, but it will take room and space and you are there so-

"you can angel." jungkook laughed.

a smile plastered the older's lips. "thank you." taehyung scooted closer to jungkook, wrapping one arm around his torso. jungkook also turned towards taehyung, pulling him closer by his waist, his bicep now being taehyung's pillow. taehyung blushed realizing that.

"g-good night, kookie."

"sleep well angel."

both couldn't sleep. their hearts were beating too fast and the warm feelings inside of them wouldn't let them sleep.

"a-are you awake?" taehyung whispered quietly and jungkook's eyes fluttered open and met the older's. "you should sleep, angel."

"i can't. and you're awake too." he retorted.
taehyung moved closer to jungkook, literally snuggling against him. jungkook smiled and patted his soft hair.

"you have school tomorrow, you need to get enough sleep." taehyung pouted. "i don't wanna go to school tomorrow tho. i want to spend more time with you." he just said.

normally, what they are doing is really strange. it was the first time they met each other. physically.

but, the feelings that were building up inside of them only through talking and getting to know each other, were way stronger than any other feelings. they spend more time with each other than some people with some kids in their class. they fell in love with voices, fell in love for the personalities after- the looks being just the cherry on top to that.

jungkook smiled. "you can't ditch school for me."

"oh i so can." taehyung smirked, making jungkook laugh. "sleep angel. remember the first day you talked with me in the middle of the night till 4am and after that you told me how you looked like a zombie for school? you want that to repeat?" jungkook chuckled and taehyung pinched him.

"there's a difference tho." he said, moving away from jungkook to look him in the eyes. the moon was the only light source in taehyung's room, but it was lit enough to give him a perfect view on the younger. "you are now with me." he smiled.

jungkook blushed. "yeah... i am."

"i'm going to ditch school tomorrow. imma tell them i was sick and you'll be my alibi." he smiled a boxy smile at jungkook.

jungkook pulled him back into his arms, cuddling him. "you still need to sleep though." he said while taehyung giggled. "wanna go to the arcade tomorrow?"

"you have school."

"i'm ditching."

"no you're not."

"it's because of you."

"i didnt tell you too."

"but i want. because i want to enjoy having you close to me more." taehyung said and jungkook had to blink more than twice.

taehyung smiled lightly when jungkook didn't answer. "i really like you jungkook." the younger looked at him for a long moment, still not knowing what to answer.

taehyung blushed and quickly looked away. "i mean as friends of course..." he added and jungkook frowned, before leaning closer to taehyung.

he placed his hand on taehyung's cheek, softly stroking it with his thumb.

"what a pity... because i think i like you more than that."
